Im waaaaaaaaaay happy that theres no guest dudes this time around. DC needs to legitimize its numbers on its own fame first. Save that silliness for some sequel down the line or something after we have trended the market viability of a purely DC based fighter in this market.

There are far too many awesome/deserving DC characters I would put in first. Even before guest characters from Vertigo like V or various Watchmen

If they didn't have a 4th DLC character at all you still would have lost interest, and saying an optional addition is somehow a deciding factor is kind of absurd. Not only did you not have to buy Freddy, you could also leave a game with a Freddy player in it at any time, even in the select screen.

I bought all 4 DLC characters and I ended up not maining any of them because after the initial hyper over them being new died down I realized the characters that I have the most fun with are already in the starting cast.


I only used Freddy a handful of times and I don't even like the character to be honest but I still think the whole elitist argument is ridiculous.

Welcome to the world of the Season Pass. A lot of people--dare I say "most"--were locked into Freddy because of that. Shit was bought and paid for whether you wanted it or not. You could try to pretend that Freddy was your freebie for the price of three, but we all know damn well that Skarlet was the freebie, because judging by the 75% negative reaction to his inclusion, if people knew ahead of time Freddy was in, a huge portion of them never would've bought the pass to begin with.

Why would they have? People had a reasonable--a really fucking reasonable--expectation that there would be all MK characters and not some random nonsense. Forgetting the fact that on top of all the fuckery that went into Freddy's inclusion, it wasn't even the cool Freddy.

The whole thing was a catastrofuck of a botched coat-hanger abortion with the way it was handled. All secret squirrel-like. Everyone thought we were getting an MK character that deserved to be in the MK reboot rather than WB's hamfisted plug at a sequel that wouldn't make it past the "hey, should this movie have a sequel?" question.

If they want to do a guest character, fucking fine. See if I give up a single damn, shit or fuck about it. But do it as a separate DLC advertised FOR EXACTLY WHAT IT IS, rather than secretly locking your customer base into it for 15 dollars. A colossal dick move in any language.

You weren't forced to buy the pass you could have waited and you got EXACTLY what was advertised 4 dlc characters at a discount it was NEVER said the characters would only be from MK.

No not at all. If I wanted to play as NEO, Scorpion, Cole etc. I'd just play the games they're already in lol.

honestly if injustice gets an mk guest ill be over the moon , we got shafted by warner bros i dont see y the same wont happen this time around -- all that said freddy is a fun character to use and to play against

Freddy was a dick move. anyone who plays Freddy or only has the Freddy DLC when I play online is always so bad I make scorpion's 50/50 look like an infinite. no respect for anyone who plays him.

I also will do the skarlet invincibility glitch, d3 them for .5% damage and baby them.

but back on topic, Freddy was a sales tactic. no reason they won't do the same as it clearly worked in getting them more sales. I have a hard time grasping what's so cool about Freddy, but you can't argue with the fact that there are plenty of people who only have the Freddy DLC. their $60 is the same as anyone else's to nrs.

He could be cool to play, and it would be a way for DC to bring more attention to the "Before Watchmen" comics. Then again, I heard most of them sucked.
