Any tips on performing energy overdrive? (f+2, 2 rapidly)

I'm having a lot of trouble executing this move consistently.
For reference, the input says:
f+2, 2 rapidly

Any tips for performing this. Does 'rapidly' just mean input insanely fast? If this is the case I'm afraid I'll never be able to execute this awesome shuryukin.

Are there any controller settings that might help with this? Or a strategy for button input?

Hold forward then double mash 2. The timing is not nearly as bad as stanky leg in mkx.

I'm finally getting around to Jacqui today, been making the rounds. What does this move do? What is its function, and is it worth it like SL was?

It’s a decent anti-air for long ranges jump ins but honestly her s1 is pretty good most of the time.

It’s definitely not as good as stanky. It has like half the range and is punishable on block.

She has f4 and b2 for range and both can be made safe in block.

Same. Ill randomly get it out after like ~10 attempts, but I can't tell what was different about my input. My gut feeling is that I have slow-ass fingers...

I know you can get a log of buttons--is there a way to check time between button presses? I mostly want to verify that my input is just too slow and not some other issue

you can get two reps mid-screen easily.

I had trouble getting it to come out, but literally all my Jacquie play so far was in her chapter in the story. I'm sure it's doable with a little practice.

this move is a not a mid combo move most of the time doing f12 f12 will beat how ever many reps of f22 you can fit in a combo. I believe this move best be used as a antiair (s1/d1 seem more reliable though). You could use it in neutral as its a pretty fast mid that launches but its very unsafe.

string -> grease kicks (enhanced) - > f22 ->f12->f12->special move is possibly a max damage combo but landing f12 twice after a f22 is tight.

My thoughts exactly.

Thought I just sucked because I couldn't do it. Maybe it's a glitch nothing should be that hard in this game.

Definitely not a glitch. It’s definitely intentional and it’s not that hard. It’s much easier than jacqui’s stanky leg.

They even talked about it in the Kombat Kast.

I cannot do this move on pad but if I were to try it on my arcade stick I know I could do it fine. I hope someone can explain how to time it consistently. I would love to play her but if i cannot use this move it would be off putting.

I'm having zero problem. Pad.

Getting 4 reps mid screen.

I use claw grip to hold controller. I tried standard grip and it was not able to be done 100% of the time.

so easy on stick but so hard on pad lol - for those who are able to do it on pad consecutively, do you mind recording yourself doing it lol

You can get 4 reps mid screen, 5 if it’s an anti air. It def is weird timing, gotta tap 2 twice VERY quickly.
You sacrifice damage doing that -- I think it's better to use f12. It's swaggy but you get less due to the scaling on repeating f22.
