Does anyone know if you can play using the top screen instead of the bottom?

I dont own a DS, so I dont really know anything about them.

Yep, you can now dude. If you checked out the IGN DS thread I posted with newer vids, article it says you can indeed use both screens, whichever one you prefer 8)
