Tech - Hellfire 214 - Teleport/Cancel Option Select for Armoured Reversals.

Been busy in the lab this past couple of days and put this together. The videos explain it all but I'm curious to see what you guys think.

I think in the long run this could be really good for Scorpion and Hellfire in particular. We can already blow up every back dash in the game out of 214 pressure and now a good amount of the amoured reversals too.

Below the videos is a list of all the potential punishers, I have put the slowest move that can punish a move out of a teleport cancel so if you see "cancel into S2" then that means Scorps S2 was the slowest move I could get to punish the reversal after doing the cancel on the teleport.

The order of moves in the list corresponds to the order that they appear in the video and the cast is ordered alphabetically in the part 2 video. Part 1 explains what the setup / option select is and how it's done.

I actually did know about this but it does seem like quite a bizarre side-effect of the adjustments to 214 and thus unintentional, so I was worried about letting the cat out of the bag myself lol...

I will however confess I did not know it worked against THAT many reversals, so good work.

One more thing, can we talk about how Sky Drop beats this but not Warlock's Portal Scoop?

Sky drop confirmed too good. Quan players need to apologise :DOGE

This is a good find. Thanks for posting. This will definitely blow up people who are always trying to armor the gap so it will make them more likely to block the whole string once they have seen that you can blow up their armor and that will of course open up more off your hellfire pressure. Very cool

I knew about this, I think I mentioned it in passing in the Scorpion discussion thread, but I didn't know what you could do with it, so good stuff, JTB.

Can you also see what reversals you can FBRC~backdash out of?

I only watched part 1 so far so if included dont mind me but vs jax and lao you can go straight to 21tp away, jax both oh and regular dash punch can be whiffed punished after that, lao you can just spear him in :D (this is if you dont want to deal with guessing if jax will do oh punch or dash punch)
Similar option works on alien as well

His F3, either F3 or run into F3. Between them you can beat all backdashes out of 214. So if they back dash the 4 you can do 21, then go into F3 or run F3 to catch them.
in that case why not just make a read then with flame aura? that works pretty good too :)
