100 Men VS 1 Gorilla: Who Wins?

I can imagine the Gorilla simply picking up a man by one leg and using them as an improved club to beat other men. If it (when) the man gets ripped apart by the repeated bashing, the gorilla can simply pick another man and repeat the process.

In a weird way, I imagine it would kinda look like Sauron in the fellowship of the ring movie intro where he sends soldiers flying with his mace swings. I truly dont think numbers alone can make the men win - not a 100 men, at least.

The gorilla is never going to be able to generate force after the first couple guys - the real life frame data + physics just don't work out.

Again, I think its possible that more people die or are seriously hurt from collateral damage in this scenario than from the actual gorilla.

I'm thinking if they try to jump in the gorilla like in a rugby match, the gorilla is massive enough to just roll around/lay on his back/jump and crush most of those pilling up on him, therefore freeing him up again and giving some space for maneuvering and whatnot. There is a physical space limit on how many men can actually engage the gorilla at once (I very much doubt it is more than 15 people at once), so there's that too. The gorilla is not fighting all 100 men at once, he is fighting smaller recurring waves of them. As for if 15 men at once can incapacitate a gorilla, this is conjecture at this point, but my instincts say no.

I don't think a gorilla could manage to do anything if 100 people dogpiled it. Will there realistically be a scenario where all 100 people are literally dogpiled on top of it? Nah, very unlikely. It's just if you try and think of it actually happening, what could it really do about all that dead weight on it? Say the average weight across all 100 men is 150 pounds each. That's 15,000 pounds right there, which is seven and a half tons.

Hell, the weight of the people on top of everyone would probably end up crushing the life out of the men below as well.

I honestly think people could go in circles all day with this scenario. It probably all depends on how everyone decides to look at it and from what angles they're doing so from.

I stand by my take that the gorilla is actually less dangerous than the crowd crush when killing the gorilla. People just don't like this answer because its way more simple and boring.

It still doesn't matter. The gorilla takes one swing, grapples with one guy, and then they no longer have the leverage necessary to actually capitalize on their strength. it rips one guys arm out, that arm gets grappled by 3 other guys, someone is crawling on the ground getting half crushed but tangling up the gorillas legs, the gorilla pulls its arm away but now those guys are on top of it, further limiting mobility and range of motion, etc. etc. etc. - this goes on and on, the gorilla just gets consumed.

A gorilla might be able to bench 1800 kilograms, but they're not lifting 1800 kilograms that are distributed in very unbalanced ways, all over its body, constantly moving - it will take much much less weight then that, they just won't have biomechanics on their side.

The guys in the back aren't just going to stand there - they will be crawling on top of each other, trampling each other, in order to get at the gorilla.

Grapples with one guy?? You do understand a gorilla would swing its arms in a half circle back and forth 1 time and insta kill/ knockout dozens of men if they are bunched up and all rushing like you suggest.

And as for grappling, you think you can pin a gorillas arm against its body and hold it there so it cant generate force? Lol

You are getting the logistics of the amount of people being able to accsses the gorilla completly wrong, you wont have 40 people all able to jump on the gorilla and pin its arms? Only a few people at a time would be able to be in contact and its not nearly enough to overpower the gorilla to the point it cant even move its arms...

Idk how to illustrste to you the strength discrepancy, like imagine rico verhoveen vs idk 50 5 year olds.

I think the 100 men win after gasing the gorilla out, this yolo dogpile strategy from a weight stand point does make sense but idk how well it could be executed, as well as requiering 100% fearless and un wavering men.
