Discussion Every Dog Playing MKX Closes The Game On Ranked After A Loss And Retains HIS STATS

Literally, 90% of the dogs who are ranked higher than me (the ones i have a 0% chance of winning!!) close the game, pull the plug, etc when they lose. It appears the stats only get affected on a quitality and not if they close the game, disconnect internet, pull the plug, etc. Consequently, my win gets negated and i can't move my well deserved rank higher than these dogs.

I don't even t-bag or do a fatality to aggravate these butthurt dogs. NRS, IS THERE A WAY TO PUNISH THESE FAKE UNDESERVING RANK HOGGING MISERABLE DOGS ON MK11?

This indicates a serious hole/deficiency in the ranking system.

I think we all know that "being a good sport" is generally not the thing in the FGC. But, man, it feels like its on a different notch these days.

For what its worth, i had a guy on ranked (ranked way higher of course)
1) Disconnect after i beat his ass. He was gone when he had a slither of life left on round 3.
2) Well, he gets paired up again. After i win round 1, he turns on his mic halfway into round 2 and starts cursing me out. He disconnects at the finish screen. Obviously he has no chance of beating me, but, he's ranked way up there.
3) We get paired up again! Well, captain ultra foul mouth opens wide at Round 2 after he loses Round 1. I know he's gonna disconnect when he loses anyway. So, i space him out a bit and do a coupla gentle tbags mid game. His bloodpressure goes up and his foul language intensifies until he disconnects when he has a slither of life left.

Such is life in the FGC.

There was a guy on PC for MKX for the longest time who had 3000+ wins and 0, i repeat ZERO losses. Every loss, he disconnects. He was famous on the PC rooms for that. Think about it for a sec, 3000+ wins and zero losses because the guy decides to disconnect after every loss for months on end. Where the fk do these giant pieces of elephantdung hail from, i wonder sometimes.....so much drama over a fking game man. Perhaps these guys have personalities that are not exactly cut out for FGs. They are better off playing a high reward/feel good genre like RPGs on a easy difficulty level or something.

And thats the mentality that gives the FGC a bad rep. There are plenty of good sports and people who are willing to give ya tips to be better. Unfortunately, this game is done with support for any patches, and not many who play this game. But Uncle JBeezY would say, if somebody rage quits on you, don't accept a game with them ever again...

I actually get that from my opponents only on pretty rare occasions, either during the match or anytime between the Finish Him portion to the victory announcement including. It's not super rare of course, but it is far from common for me. I think you just have some bad luck with people in Ranked, there always gonna be such shitty people on Ranked, but more then enough good people, just don't take it too seriously. TBH I don't care about the ranking itself, I use Ranked as yet another way to play and train, rather then go up the ranks, and if I do manage to make people rage quit, to me it's a good thing, as that means my training only shows progress more then anything else. I think if you would treat Ranked a bit more like that, you will have an easier time to deal with rage quitters.

Also about that guy, if his 3000/0 score is what you can see he has on his Kombat Kard, then there is no way he got that score by disconnecting, As that score changes only by wins and loses in player matches in the Rooms (not even KOTH, and surely not in Ranked) and if the he does disconnect, 99% of the time it gives you the win and the loss to him. That means either his copy happens to be a bugged one, or he must have done something with his account to actually delete his losses. I mean, he is on PC right? As far as I know something like this is possible. There are some nasty stuff you can do on a PC and not on a console. Just pointing that out.

Bro, it is not possible to "not accept" a game on ranked at all times. The game can auto pair you with the same lousy dude over and over and will even let you know that "disconnecting now will affect your stats". It should give the choice to accept/decline and not auto pair.

I don't think he deleted his losses. The dude has been in the PC rooms for ever. He has disconnected on me several times in the rooms. But, i didn't care too much because it wasn't ranked. You'd constantly see the room's chat lines with people saying "Don't play this guy, he disconnects when he loses". He's managed to get that many wins and no loses doing the disconnect in the rooms for months on end. You can imagine the sheer magnitude of his lousiness now.

I only care about ranked because, in general, high level players (mostly higher ranked) only challenge or accept invites from similar ranked players, such that their game improves more. They investigate player profiles and go off this fake ass ranking system.

In short, there's this wall created by rank hogging butthurt scrubs who are not good themselves and won't let someone who's better pass through either. I guess there's no safegaurd against such a thing. (NRS did not cover this!!) There's a fix. It can be coded in by developers such that the wins on rounds by either player are monitored and the life level on round 3 when the "deliberate disconnect" occurs is monitored such the rank stat is alloted by the game to the deserving player.

one hundred and thirty something for the great foul mouthed MK Ranked gate keeper who disconnected on me thrice.

Guess if ya didn't start playing right on game release sometime in 2015 and hogged a spot, there's no hope for ye dudes. The gate keeping clan will unleash its exceptionalism. The programmers and game developers dropped the ball on ya on this one.

Regarding the disconnection in rooms, that is really strange. When I play matches in the rooms and people rage quit on me, I think there was like only once or twice tops that the win didn't count for me. So him managing to keep the score has gotta have something beyond disconnecting, or even not disconnecting. Which is why it seems like he deleted his losses.

As for the high level players and the Ranked system, yes that system can be improved by the devs (maybe in MK11) and yeah it is lame that some people take advantage of that, but you don't have to get to the high ranks in order to challenge the pros. Did you try to ask the pros to have games with you? I asked several pros to have games with me, such as HappyPow, Taco and Jupe, and they agreed to have games with me and they were all really nice guys, and none of our ranks or win/loss records were mentioned at all whatsoever. That is not a factor for them for accepting games with people, even if the Ranked system was better they wouldn't take that into account, and if there is someone who actually does, I think it's safe to say he is just as bad as the people who rage quit, TBH.

The PC version had a bad start indeed, as WB wanted to rush that port so they hired HVS to work on that port instead of NRS, and although WB hired Qloc to fix that port, maybe there are still a few bugs here and there on that port that can occur on occasion, and a couple of them might be in the online section. Maybe that's the answer for all of that stuff, it is possible.

PC Ranked? I'm surprised you can even find game, tbh. I almost never could, and when I did, it was with someone half the world away.

Ranked in mkx is a fucking joke anyway it‘s more like quick game. Don‘t worry too much about it in the end no one cares if you have good statistics

If you're ranked 1500 you need to just work on getting better. It's not ragequitting that's keeping you down there, it's not being good enough yet at the game.

I'm no god of ranked, but I at least hover around Top 200 when I'm playing, ragequitters and all. I was probably down around your rank a couple releases ago. Just had to level up.

meh, who cares about ranked, doesnt really do anything for you and the 1 & done is a poor test of skill anyways.

I think people should stop looking at playing as some sort of test of skill. You play to learn and get better. Playing sets and playing ranked both have their place in this.

The areas in which Ranked is helpful imo:

• It will expose you to a lot of different tactics quickly
• It will help you learn to adjust/adapt more quickly.. Mid-game, or 1-2 games in INJ2 where it’s a FT3
• You learn to deal with players who are ‘random’ or do unothodox/unpredictable things. This helps with keeping your cool and being patient.
• You meet new people, some of whom you’ll end up adding and playing sets with later on. You also might run into some top-level players who you haven’t been able to get a set with yet.

Play sets. Play Ranked. Do all of it. There’s no magic bullet.

People need to stop looking at every single match as if it’s supposed to prove who’s better, and just play.

Thanks for letting me know what the solution to this problem is....GIT GUD...Advice taken. I rarely ever played Ranked and only recently started on it. I think i also mentioned in my earlier post that I bodied a guy ranked one hundred and thirty something on the leader boards. If i recall, i have beaten more well known names like Sikander, IrishMantis, etc in the past. Nevertheless, i will work on GITTing GUD Sir. The problem i am trying to bring up with this ranked disconnect gate keeping that wasn't addressed in the game's code will fix itself if i just GIT GUD. I understand now. God bless.

I used to play Tekken and Smash competitively almost a decade ago. Most of the guys i knew back then moved on in life or don't play MKX. I just play MKX and SFV off and on these days for fun and I am not exactly looking to socialize with guys who are my son's age just to play a few high level games. Ranked to me looks like a decent platform to play a few high level games "discreetly" without having to socialize too much if some of these silly issues are fixed. SFV does feel better for this because the player pool is huge.

Well they are young in age but they are very mature, but if you feel more comfortable to play with those guys via Ranked then OK, your decision dude.
