How will NRS and WB deal with Injustice 1 "deaths"?

Teen titans are by nature mediocre team, they simply can't be a-list team. Take suicide squad for example, they were nobodies but now they have left teen titans in dust. Teen titans are either sidekicks or characters who are sidekicks of sidekicks. Wildcats, Doom patrol and Demon knights are important. DC is taking time to do them right, teen titans on other hand aren't that important. They can put anybody on teen titans book because they are not trying make them into an A-list team that compete with x men and avengers.

The story should never ever effect the game IMO. I don't care who died in the comics or the story or whatever. Put the best characters in the game no matter what.

I was wrong about JLD. Still think its stupid that they're getting a movie before the Titans but then again Suicide Squad got a movie before Wonder Woman, The Flash and Aquaman. Heck they got a movie before the actual Justice League.

I still think it's laughable that you think those teams will surpass Teen Titans. Yeah a team with a huge fanbase (Remember Starfire beat Constantine and Blue Beetle beat Swamp Thing in the polls) is going to be surpassed by team no one has heard of -_- Just watch what happens when a Titans movie is finally announced ;)

Individuals such as blue beetle and nightwing will become popular but titans as a team will not. Why make a teen titans movie when you can always make one more justice league movie? Teen titans are not meant to be A-team, most of them are sidekicks and DC isn't going dilute the product by introducing them DCEU. Cyborg is founding member of Justice league, making him Titan would be regression. Blue beetle is not a traditional Titan, he might get a movie but it ll not be connected to teen titans. Nightwing as a batman character might also get a movie.

Believe it or not teen titans are not DC's x-men despite being compared to them they simply can't stand upto them. X-men are not sidekicks of avengers.

Marvel is turning their b-list and c-list characters into A-list and guess what they are not sidekicks of core avengers. WB wants to do the same with their properties that's why they are investing in JLD, Doom patrol and other original teams with potential to become a-list. Grifter alone has Deadpool level of potential. Teen titans/titans will always be mediocre, they are not good or bad they are mediocre. They ll never be as popular as justice league because they are designed to be that way.

Let me just give you few reason why teen titans won't work in DCEU.

The word "teen" in name.

They require lots backstory to work.

Bruce being in his 40's which means dick is in his late 20's.

Barry is in his early 20's which means wally isn't even 10.

No sign of Donna Troy.

Here is why other teams have better chances.

JLD, wildcats, demon knights, doom patrol and authority don't need connection to justice leaguers to be successful.

They are not traditional superheroes.(squad being hit increases their chances)

They explore different parts of DC universe and introduce places and concepts such as Hell, Danny the street, Bleed and house of mystery.

Apollo and midnighter are DC's premium LGBT characters. DC would want to beat Marvel at introducing LGBT characters.

Demon knights would add to DCEU's history by having adventures in past. Amazons, Atlanteans and vandal savage can be part of their adventures. Hobbit/game of thrones level potential here.

I'm going to have to disagree with you. Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy (a doom patrol member as well btw), Blue Beetle, Static, Nightwing...etc are not sidekicks or JL dopplegangers. They're original characters and when DC decides to do a Titans movie they'll use those characters.

The one thing I'll agree with you on is that the sidekicks are a lame line-up. A Titans movie featuring the original characters I listed above is not lame. Only a matter of time until the Titans are on the big screen!

Oh and Teen Titans is still one of DC's biggest and most popular franchises, even without a live action movie or show. Multiple video games, animated shows, animated movies, comics, and merchandise prove it. :)

What in MKX disregarded the continuity of MK9?

Also that would be pretty dumb for Injustice with the hugely successful tie in comic and everything.

For people talking about Dick:
MKX disregarded popular character's deaths from MK9 (and by disregarded, I mean they shoehorned them in as 'revenants' because they were too popular to exclude, not because the story necessarily dictated it). Characters like Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Jax, and more. Injustice 2 will do the same. DC lore uses 52 alternate universes at will to retcon things, and Injustice 1 has already proven NRS's willingness to use that.

I've never seen a tie-in comic's continuity be the gold standard to trump whatever form of media it originated from. As successful as it is, I doubt NRS would create a plot gap where Injustice 2 starts with iconic characters missing. People will ask, "Well, where's Joker, Green Arrow, Shazam, and Nightwing?" only to be told they need to have read a certain issue of a tie-in comic to know that they've been killed off for some hollow shock value.
In short, there will be some sort of convenient plot device to explain the differences between the comic and the game, and it's even possible they don't even go that far and just plainly ignore the comic's continuity. This is all of course my opinion, but I'm fairly confident NRS won't exclude all of these iconic characters from the roster just because the comic killed them off.

There's alt universes in Injustice 2. It's the only way the Deadshot quote for when he fights Harley makes sense.
