When you play a character, you have to recognize your own tendency to downplay the character when you struggle because it can't possibly be that your opponent is better, right?
When you don't play a character, you have to recognize your own tendency to up-play the character whenever you struggle against him/her for the same reason.
If you're always winning, you need to find players who can buck that trend to put things into focus for you. Adversity breeds clarity.
Finally, come here and listen to what others are saying. Once you get through the downplaying, up-playing, trolling, and profiling - and actually start to play games with those you've been discussing balance with, you start to get a clearer picture of the matchups through the metas.
With that said, Tremor, Quan Chi, and Jax players still rule and Alien and Kung Jin players still suck - but nothing is going to change my mind on that.
