Tech Doomsday Reversal Cross-up

THIS WORKS ON ALL STAGES IN ALL CORNERS

I'm sure some of you already know this but I've been asked about it a few times and I don't see a thread or video for it anywhere. Doomsday has a hitbox glitch in the corner where if he dashes at the opponent right after a hard knockdown it will cause their wake up to cross up, allowing for a full punish.

Unfortunately there are some characters this does not work on. And some wake ups may require a variation of what you do after the dash. It's also kind of wonky against teleport characters. But I'm sure with some tweaking you'll be able to get the timing down. If you're going to do it against a parry character or a character with teleport you're going to have to input the dash at the proper time and then neutral jump splash. Everything else is the same as the original. I'm currently working on ways to get it to work against the entire cast. But it's going to take some time. I'll update it as I find them.

Thanks to my buddy Sajam for making the video.

List of characters it doesn't work on to my knowledge:
Sinestro (Arachnid)
Nightwing (Staff spin)
Cyborg (Power Fist)
Deathstroke (Sword Spin, Sword Flip)

*Ares, Shazam, and Scoprion can all get out of the corner with their teleports but the set up will still hit them after their teleports are finished.
**For Black Adam just walk slightly backward if you think he's going to cage and whiff punish with b1 or f2

Figured this earlier in June. but never made a video for it. This is a incredible tool once they are in corner and from the testing I did it appears that it loses it's effectiveness on big body characters.

This also works with other variations other than d1 like f2 and b1

Important question: is this tech exclusive to Doomsday?
No. This is day one tech that works with most, if not all characters to some degree. MU dependent. Some chars have to use attacks to do it, doomsday is fairly unique in that he does it with a dash.

A big part of why this works is that NRS games have really wonky corners. This tech does not work in all corners in all stages... certain corners have "pockets" in them in which this tech works. Remember how sometimes in MK after a knockdown you'd try to jump in on somebody in the corner and your guy jumps the wrong fucking direction while playing the animation of the jump you wanted? This is the exact same bug manifesting itself in Injustice. It's probably also related to the "Smoke Screen" glitch however that can happen outside of the corner as well... probably an issue with how the game handles crossups compounded with the above corner bug I mentioned. Idk. #NRS lol

Rofl.... Good stuff. I really dont think this was intentional though so it will be patched. Probably...

I hope not, I just found out how to do it mid screen. Video incoming in the next hour or so. It's very similar to Street Fighter safe jumps. Forces them to block. I really don't think that's a bad thing considering how good wake ups are in this game.

I want to work out all the kinks before I put it up though. It's definitely very interesting mid screen. There's a lot of variables that need covering against human opponents. My friend said he'd have the videos together tomorrow. Right now I'm just grinding out who it works against and who it doesn't work against, and what character specific set-ups I need.

What are the inputs midscreen I'd like to do my own testing to see if I come up with some interesting stuff

It works on Grundy every time. His walking corpse walks him into the corner and his triat goes the other direction. Even if you mess it up, d1 earth shaker beats out the armor on walking corpse.
D1 earth shaker is 3 hits. Grundy has 3 hit armor on Walking Corpse. It destroys armor but Grundy still grabs you, and if Grundy Ex WAlking Corpse you into the wall he can do way over 100% combos and resets. So messing this up on Grundy is pretty much end of the round for Doomsy:) but anyways Grundy does this tech as well with WC into WCCancel, and again follows it up with touch of death if he has meter

Good stuff. I feel like I've seen this before in some of my matches, but i didn't really know it was a consistent thing. I also feel like this tech doesn't necessarily pertain to only doomsday.

It's a lot more complicated mid screen. It's not even really the same thing. I'm going to make a huge thread on that tomorrow that specifics the set ups for certain characters with a video to go along with it.

If you do it properly the earth shaker is ungrabable no matter where you are. So it will beat walking corpse every time. Grundy's 100% combos are very specific. The EX walking corpse one for example, only works in the corner. He can get 60% resets with 1 bar yes, but that's only if you decide to run at him without trait. As long as you take on the match up properly it's not that bad.

Well it is ungrabable at some frames, it still doesn't plane out beat the WC. You are just not getting grabed if Grundy doesn't time it right. you are right about Ex WC combos being situational but this is the situation where they are actually applicable, because Grundy throws you into the corner if he catches you. And what do you mean run at him without trait, counting the cool down on the trait end it's duration, you have it maximum 3 times in a round of you are lucky, mostly 2 times. It's 10 seconds, so the rest of the round you don't fight Grundy? Also if Grundy has super it is actually cool to use it on Traited up Doomsday - it beats his armor, and he can't run away, it does 44% with power trait boost:)But isn't worth 4 bars. But I personally just d1 112 followed by d2 or WC if gets to me with trait, armor mostly runs out when you get to d2 or WC. By the way Grundy can do 80% midscreen with 1 bar

Put down the controller and run!
It works with all the characters, but only on in the right corner. The left one has no pocket!
