Hit Box Injustice Thread

Maybe I'll have something to say ... Probably not
even the magic of hitbox can't unfuck the muddy inputs of this game.
The buffering from holding down or down back screws me up constantly ill press down back to crouch (i know just down will block too but i like down back for fuzzy guard) and go for hawkgirls D1 ill get mace throw and you've seen the recovery on that

There are two options for a mic

The wireless ones Microsoft makes

Or you can drill into the side of the hitbox the Ps360+ boards (i don't know about the other pcbs) do have a mic input its seriously just that there's no hole in the box take the backing off to see where to drill and detach the board so you don't accidentally hurt it

I know the hole isn't pretty but id rather use my razer headset than buy another one And with the awesome plexi on the front the hitbox team printed for me i doubt anyone notices it

i think ill just do this. A lot of 2.5mm plugs from these headsets have wide boxy things around it to fit snug between the xbox 360 controller handles though. Do those fit in? I feel like only a straight thin 2.5mm would fit which seems rare among 360 headsets

EmoScoobyDoo

I doubt theyd fit because the mic input is somewhat inside the hitbox so whatever hole you make would have to be as big as the jack your headset has

Any lefthanded hitbox players here? If so what are your thoughts. How brutal was the learning curve ?
I'm a lefty but you're hitting buttons with both hands so I don't really see the significance in it / don't get your question

Do some leftys use fight sticks different than right handed people or something?

Even as a lefty I played pc games with right hand on mouse so I was used to WASD. Hitbox is extremely natural and intuitive to anyone who's remotely familiar with WASD+spacebar setup

Some of us do. I've been gaming with my mouse in the left hand, righthand on the keyboard since the early DOOM days. Tough habits to beat. Going to an arcade stick is a nightmare. I've stuck with controller. The hitbox interests me. Hoping my movement with the righthand keyboard habits wouldn't effect it.

I find this interesting because Im lefty and I like that my dominant hand was the hand doing the movement on a fight stick but I guess that's an odd preference of mine

I don't think it will affect if for you. If you'd played other fighters with a KB using right hand it might but I don't think your brain will get that mixed up if the games you were playing on PC were very different kinds of games

I think you'll do fine and a hitbox is a great investment :) it might take a bit more patience to adjust but it's far from impossible and wouldn't be detrimental after a couple hours practice

It's safe to say the movement part of inputs are the more complex, trickier aspects of MK/IGAU IMO and I enjoy that my stronger more familiar hand does the movements

How do you guys have your hitbox buttons mapped?

Top row: light, medium, MB, grab
bottom row: Hard, trait, flip stance, interactables

We won't have a booth at EVO, but there will be tons of Hit Boxes in the room. If you track me down we can hijack a setup and let you try it out. We're also working on Injustice vids too, which sounds much more convenient for you. :p

HitBox is not going to have a booth at EVO? Hmmm, that's unfortunate. One reason I'm going to EVO aside from playing a bunch of games is buying a HitBox. Will I be able to? If not, I'd totally be down for trying my hand at it.

...I now regret not really showing interest in HitBoxes until now. I was at Salt Fest, and you folks had a booth there, but I didn't put too much stock into them until very recently. As somebody who has sloppy execution on a stick and even sloppier execution on a pad, I really want to give a HitBox a try. The directional buttons seem to be more of a...natural fit, I guess. I do type for a living, so this seems like a good fit.

Injustice:
1 MB 2 stage
3 grab 4 stance

MK:
1 BLK 2 tag
3 grab 4 stance

This is the only setup that makes sense to me. I do not want to rely on my pinky fingers, so with this setup I only need to with interactables in Injustice if I don't use the 1+2 macro. For super I use the 2+3+MB macro, so that's a really easy input for me that doesn't require awkward finger stretching/positioning. I can't think of a more ideal setup than what I currently use, at least for me.

We will keep you guys informed as we get closer to next gen.
That's no fun. I've been saving for so long and that's my one hang up. Will it work on PS4 or am I going to have to buy a whole new hitbox? Come on, I just want to give you my money :\

Hey guys, we'll be at EVO, but with respect to the venue and sponsors we will not be able to sell parts or product there. We will be there wanting to meet Hit Box players though!

If anyone is in town today (Wednesday) for EVO they are welcome to come to the lab and play games. It's looking like it will be a big turnout, and Injustice will be probably half the setups there. More info here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/102674829854875/ if you can make it. It's about 20-30 minutes from Paris.

So where exactly is the hole for us to drill so we can access the xbox 360 mic input? I bought the multi-console one and for whatever reason its not accessible. Paying $75 more for, you should get more options not less. I have an afteglow wireless headset and it can't be used to chat.... Please help

Taking the backing off this thing is nearly impossible. They glued the rubbers onto the nails so its no easy feat. Is the mic port universally the same everywhere? Do you have the schematic?

EmoScoobyDoo

Maybe I'll have something to say ... Probably not
I don't have a schematic

what i did for the rubber was get flat razor blade and lay it against the backing then get under the rubber with it and go all the way around it and it should loosen up enough for you to unscrew with your hand
