If you fly backwards but not against the end of the stage, Batgirl's teleport will whiff.

Can't find a good punish for it though.

I think it's in his favor at the moment. His ability to escape the corner with meter burn teleport and then put you on the defensive is very strong because HG damage is garbage mid screen. His jump 3 also is pretty good at trading or punishing her advancing attacks.

She can fly, but she does eventually have to come down, and his hellfire is pretty much guaranteed whenever you hit the ground. His -1 Flip kick is really good at preventing her from getting any momentum due to the hitbox being so good at stopping what she does.

Even if you block his unsafe teleport, your damage options are pretty bad... unless you can consistently time the 3 into up mace MB, which will take some practice, but that's really all I see going for her. D1 won't get you too far on this one, but it's still D1, so yeah...

you can punish the teleport with 123 into whatever. Its decent damage and corner carry.

If you fly you know you dont have to just "drop", do an EX mace toss or MC at him at low height and you're safe and a few other things. Plus I'm pretty sure that I've dashed out of hellfire attempts when I'm landing from flight. I'll need to test it tout though.

Just played Reo's Scorpion for about an hour....I'll post the vid here...I couldn't do shit. lol. I only got a rhythm going with Frost. This character is insane...

To get some numbers going in the OP Im thinking the mu against Green Arrow is 5-5 at best and likely 4-6

Having fought some really good ones HG really has to respect that ice arrow (idk the name of it but it freezes you in place when hit) and he can almost outzone her...upclose, I think he can too and push her back, forcing another zoning war.

Perhaps there is an element missing that could shed light but I think I will personally call this 4-6 imo for now lol

From fullscreen, you can avoid every single arrow by being at top height and using mace charge in the air. It's pretty easy to avoid ice arrows since they're slow.
Fire arrows on the other hand...

I feel bad because I think Hawkgirl is cool. She's fun to watch, but good lord does she get ground up in that match.

DS is definitely in his favor but you're blowing it out of proportion. If you try to fly around all day then yeah its in DS's favor, you do occasional flying in a range where you can MB the mace toss and it'll connect.
Hawkgirl's wakeup sucks in general if the opponent is jumping in and DS' j3 is no exception, if the opponent is in the air you have to respect the jump-in, Sometimes a WE3 or MC works but its not reliable.

Their damage is very similar in a sense, theyre both meh midscreen and only shine in the corner, actually i think HG does more damage in the corner.

Also how is Hawkgirl a meter intense character? she builds fuckton of meter coz all she's doing in the match is specials and she doesnt use it much aside from a few specific uses.


In this match you're trying to stay in a range where if you read guns you can jump and diagonal MT and it'll either hit him or he'll have to respect it.
Its a really weird match and you have to be patient and not fly or jump alot coz swordflip and air guns shut all your air options pretty much.

Also MC is pretty good against DS if you're close enough so he wont have time to jump back on reaction, he can try to swordlfip but depending on the range you'll beat it or trade (which is very much in your favor).

I don't even care about mace charge. She has to burn meter against him to get any kind of advantage, or hell, even really to get in without getting blown up. I don't have to be afraid of anything she does as DS - I always have the life lead because I get so many more opportunities to reaction punish her, chip her and shut down her movement. I don't consider mace toss a threat, and even if she does get close to me, what's she going to do? I guess wrong, ow, my shins. She guesses wrong? 30-35% and I get a position reset or an oki situation that is absolutely unwinnable for Shayera. Her oki is no threat against DS wakeups, and her lows aren't really a threat against anybody. DS can harass and control her in just about every situation, while she just has to either catch him sleeping with a side switch, get him on a very poorly timed gunshot (note that he recovers so fast it's almost impossible for her to do this anyways), frame trap him or just random mace charge and hope for the best. The only things she has against DS are shenanigans, while he can play his bullshit all fucking day.

I'll happily play this against you, for the record. Add me on PSN if you think you have answers to DS, I'd love to see them. So far I have zero reason to believe otherwise and I hold the people I've been playing this matchup with in high esteem.

Hey, I asked for Hawkgirl practice because I'd fought zero and you guys obliged! My PS3 just died anyways, so that might well be the end of my Injustice career. Don't know if I'm going to replace it, so she's safe from getting shot at anymore for now. :p
