That's not the point, it misses the point entirely.

Injustice is supposed to have a life span, and be a serious tournament game. At the highest level there will no point playing anything other than scorpion, and since the character doesn't fit the game the same as all other characters, then at that stage, we are not playing injustice anymore.

We have a brand new game, with a new fighting system and meta game, and it is now completely ignored before it even had a chance to develop.

We lived the last year or two of Kenshi, KL and Kabal, and now we are right back in the same shit again when we finally had a chance at a balanced game.

If you want the game to live, if you want it taken seriously, then open your eyes to the problem and don't make excuses for the character. That won't address or solve the problem.

Why cant NRS do anything they say they were going to do. NO MK guest characters and no nerfs just buffs...riiiiiiiiiiiight. Not to get too off topic, but I feel like aquaman can actually keep kf out. outside of a little more than sweep range, she can't slide because it gets hit by b12 on reaction, she can't jump because of d2 (even air dash doesn't save her), dashing against Aqua on the ground is never a good idea, etc. I think it is 5-5. If the nerfs hit Kf, undisputable adv Aquaman. But I def want to play the mu more offline.

That's not to say that there aren't valid arguments to be made.
I've been a DC nerd since I was in diapers; been a gamer almost as long.
For someone to say the inclusion of a character nullifies the game simply because that character is out of canon is completely stupid.
We're talking about NRS who put Mokap in a game...
Hell, they validate why Scorpion is in the game with his end game movie...
If you're going to piss on something, at least be hydrated.

You've played shitty scorpions if, after a few hellfires hit, they decide to throw in a random teleport. Anybody that has played the game for more than a day would just idle with hellfires until you come to them. A big part of the reason that Scorpion is broken is that he forces you to jump forward (to avoid his hellfires), at which point he has a million options for murdering you. And if that doesn't work, he just has to alternate between j3 at different ranges and his teleport. It's practically impossible to defend against this. And then, again, there's his hellfire which is unblockable.

I have a lot of respect for the top competitors in this game, but as a casual player, it's insulting that their response is "crouch and punish the teleport!" As if THAT'S the only thing that makes him broken.

Well Im not gonna say theyre shitty, theyre more of the ones trying to be cheap or whatever so yea lol.
But that sometimes helps though. I used to use Scorpion, but then I realized that it was just really stupid easy and cheap to get a win out with him.. He actually pushed me into using Catwoman.. Who I cant believed has been named as low tier

I am pretty sure at the range I am talking about, everyone can beat slide with something on reaction, just nobody is used to it yet. At close range, no way I agree. Even at sweep range, nope. But farther out? Yes. Obviously the kf player isn't going to slide from that range, I know thats the point. You have to keep her at a range where slide becomes irrelevant.

Jump hell fire on reaction. You have to be looking for it but it really isn't that hard.

What does that get me? It puts me in the exact same situation as before (hellfire vs. teleport, can't defend against both at once) except now he can also jump in with j1/j3 and potentially cross me up. When all else fails, he can randomly jump around like a fool (see "high level" scorpion gameplay)

At the end of the day, you're forced to play his game. Matchup theory means nothing to Scorpion. His strategy against any of the cast is the same. He doesn't really need to know your options. He barely needs to know your special moves. He completely shuts down your ability to play the game.

Even as Aquaman (which some high level players say is advantageous), there's not much you can do. His water shield is a joke in comparison to Scorpion's teleport/hellfire.
