I called it after he came out.

Booooooooooooooo, like down4 said. I wouldn't care if he was like an alt skin maybe, but taking up a slot for someone potentially awesome to play in the game is pretty lame

I said this on June 6 "Scorpions Teleport is broken" thread"

I don't ever agree with m2dave but this move is broken, makes interactables, zoning and corner pressure with slower characters all pretty much worthless in one move. Having to sit on the down direction all match just to be hellfired. This character design is flawed beyond stupidity. After fighting a good scorpion it makes you happy when your opponent picks batman, superman or black adam nowadays.

I was told numerous times to "just hold down"

Players haven't been able to play the way they wanted to not because of scoprian, but the 8+ patches that came out in less than a month. How do you expect one to learn a character if stuff keeps changing?

No. It doens't 'keep changing', the only changes that mattered were low gun shots and flash GP, pretty much everything else was minor changes.

But, Scorpion is broken, he doesn't work with this games mechanics, no character is able to play their own game on him. Even Aquaman and WW are still forced to play his game, just because of the teleport.

I'd rather see him banned from tournament play tbh, cause I'm bored of having to spend 70% of a match holding down no matter where I am on the screen.

The wakeup patch made no real difference, it just means that people with worse execution can get off the ground with their wakeup easier, but if people couldn't do their wake ups by now, then they were never gonna be able to.

Sinestros buffs are nice, but not that massive.
Grundy shouldnt have had SO much unclashable damage, considering he gets in for free against most of the cast.
You can't even use an infinite in this argument, it's a good thing that got taken out.

Scorpion's gotta be one of the most salt inducing characters I've ever played against, at least when I lose to other strong characters I understand why and can adapt accordingly, on the other hand playing against scorpion is a lottery, winning or losing against him is like rolling a dice and there is nothing to be learnt from it, gameplay this moronic truly is an injustice to the game itself.

No new tech was discovered with scorpion. He is picking Rico Suave apart with jumping and teleport. Arguably the best player int he world at this game right now is getting destroyed with someone who isn't even trying in the match.

Then REO just gets on the mic and in a joking voice talks about how fine.

Scorpion is a cancer to this game and only makes it a joke. NRS has one more chance to fix this shitty character before EVO or Injustice will be a laughing stock. But apparently there are limitations in the engine that won't allow them fix what needs to be fixed.

How is he Arguably the best? Cause he beats CDJR and Chris G every week in a local tourney? lol. No one is the best player in Injustice game is too early.

please explain to me how our games went from 8-5 with my black adam to 10-32 or so when you started picking scorpion.

I exhausted EVERY SINGLE tech EVER found for black adam except the ones scorpion actually punishes me for planning ahead with.

Man, I tried playing your scorpion for over an hour and every single match I'd try to come up with new punishes and different setups, I could be steps ahead yet nothing yet 1 of his 2 moves would either punish me or be unpunishable itself.

Then you go and tell me this isn't 7-3 or worse for scorpion at all. I don't understand how holding down 90% of the game is actually playing a fighting game. It's not fighting and it sure as hell isn't a game.

Most characters lose in the air actually, considering the speed and range of his J3, the only jumping normal WW has that can compete with it is SS J3.
Even if you have an AA move, it doesn't take away the viability of jumping around like a clown, because you have teleport that you can just MB if you think theyre gonna attempt to AA, and there you have yourself a combo.

There is literally NO way you can argue that Scorpion is a legit character in a game with these mechanics.

to be fair for that 2nd part, if someone tries to Air to Air him, Scorp j1 is easily one of the best A2A moves in the game. It was beating my Bladam j1 clean every time in tournament today.


And to be fair about that 1st part, I did just pick Aquaman the next 2 games and AA him to death =/

Maybe you should rewatch our games. I don't think you lost games to fullscreen divekick and lightning cage.

I find it funny since with scorpion you don't even need to learn matchups, movement, footsies or anything.
