Microsoft Respond To Concerns Over Xbox1

MS is making the Xbox one pointless at this point I mean just go buy a PC you will have all the same policies but a lot better. If you want an actual console buy PS4 and if you want mario and all that stuff buy Wii U.

This was one thing I have been thinking, its only advantage over a PC is really exclusive games and since they all run on a PC style architecture, it could make piracy more prevalent.

I don't give a shit what a poll says. I've chosen xbox as my console since the original (which they blocked from going online to push the 360). On the 360 I invested a bunch of my time and money on XBLA titles and stuff that are tied to my account and will not be supported on the next console. The bright side of that is my 360 will still have use but who knows when they will block the 360 from going online and I'll lose online play in a lot of my favorite games (3SOE and many more). I feel obligated to keep XBL just to keep my 360 relevant with all the good fighting games I have on it. If it comes down to it I'm going to have to buy the same games on ps3 just to ensure they will live.

This makes my decision for the next system very easy. Ps2 is still online and not restricted, ps3 I'm sure will be in the same boat and the same with ps4. I don't feel comfortable paying for games that I won't actually own and Microsoft can pretty much make them useless whenever they want. I'm not a fan of what they're trying to do. Having that system for smaller games like XBLA where you pay like 20 bucks max is not that big a deal to me but when they do it with $60 titles (not to mention all the BS DLC nowadays, remember when maps were free before xbox?) I draw the line.

BTW checking online every 24 hours is such a stupid policy. So many things can happen to make your console useless. Internet can go down sometimes for periods of time. It's just another stupid thing to worry about.

I also heard it has the same option as the currenct Kinect where you can turn off the mic in settings...

I am pretty sure you just need to check in with the console once a day. I am not sure how long your internet drops... hopefully not much more than a day.

Well, since I also listen to Sony, I guess that makes me a X1 and PS4 fanboy. Strange.

I'll admit, I still don't listen much to Sony, I still remember the "Emotion Chip", and more reently the 'oh yeah your PS3 sticks will totally work! -- 2 days later from MadCatz: no they totally won't work".

Sony is actually pretty notorious for making shit up that they think players want to hear. You can say various things about MS" PR, but in this particular case that CERTAINLY hasn't been the case. They've in fact gone out of their way to say the better (for them) business practices that they knew core core megacore gamers wouldn't like.
