Question HawkGirl Representation at EVO 2013

I just registered for EVO (Injustice & MK9) and I was curious who else will be attending EVO and who here in the HG community plan on representing!?

I main HawkGirl while having Catwoman and Frost in my pocket. I will go all out HG unless I run into Sinestro or any of her other bothersome MU's.

I truly think she can turn some heads especially since she has such low representation...

Well, if I were faced with the decision between Bane or HG...obviously I'd go for HG. I know what you mean though, I'm lucky that HG COMPLETELY covers my bad MU's for Catwoman and Frost...and vice versa.

Aww man, Evo is so amazing. Last year, I took a bunch of the gamers out to a nightclub and showed them how to party....it was the highlight of my Evo.

But to answer your question...HawkGirl can totally avoid him while at her peak height in flight...so that's a plus. Frost can punish him incredibly well but looses the air battle. Catwoman...she can scare him but it's tough. Don't judge me from my front page set with Reo's Scorpion...he was my first and I was a total virgin...LOST AND CONFUSED. So I guess Frost would be the best against him...but HG seriously competes with the "S-tier" characters...they just don't know yet.

i dont think he'll let you get there, and even then his D2's hitbox is massive (it doesnt make sense), though flipkick might also work. I dont think the matchup is awful, but i think it's 5.5 or 6 for scorp on all 3 of those. IDK about catwoman though. Generally i agree that hawkgirl is good against a lot of good characters, she has to do a lot of work to win (or do absolutely nothing, depends how you like to play), but eh. i think she's the lao of this game.

I'm good friends with the guys that make the official tier lists...but I must say...they are so blind in their findings. HawkGirl has very few bad MU's. I mean...I've gone toe to toe with Superman's, Black Adam's, Batman's and don't even get me started on how easy it is to handle Killer Frost. I will give it my all...but I truly believe she is one of the best characters in the game..."they" just don't think so because you can't buy a poster of her and there isn't a blockbuster movie featuring her. Evo is her time to shine...

Superman is an even with her, Black Adam is also an even! She is one of the few characters that go even with them... She is also even with Killer Frost if the KF player is beast, She defeats Aquaman so bad! Some people tries to counterpick me with Batman and i am like o.o lol! His trait is pretty easy to dodge with her, and goodbye to all his random jumps. Scorpion gets bodied by her, she defeats Wonder Woman! Only her true love players know how great is her, she is sooo underrated atm :c

Bat girl was a fraud scare. I've beaten several very good bat girls just playing a solid neutral game and footsies. Green Arrow is solid as a rock...and cyborg can be tough. However, the characters that are praised at the top...bitches please. Done deal....not scary.

The lame thing about the batgirl matchup is that you cant jump or fly.. Ever. A good batgirl will just be looking for that all match.. It sucks.
But yeah if you just stay grounded and play "footsies" the mu becomes more or less even.

Green arrow is just knowing the matchup, if you're flying you can MC on reaction and you'll avoid his ice arrow or anything else unless he does the ones straight up and you MC into them >.>
If he tries to load up any arrows thats a free MC on the ground or an air MT.

Cyborg i feel is dependent on controlling the tempo of the match, as long as you stay on him and dont give him the room to do his soul fist nonsense you should be good.

GL is the only "top" character that imo can give hawky some trouble as you both have tools to shut the other person down. Its very momentum based and you have to play kinda patient and bait fraud's might alot >__>
