Exactly. Its the stooge who gets beat by the spamming that is the scrub.Of course it is a viable way of winning. It is up to your opponent to find a way to stop you and until they do keep doing it.
The two aren't mutually exclusive. In many cases, you zone by spamming. Whether it be projectiles or something else, such as a long poke (IE Dhalsim in SF4). Spamming means doing something over and over, more specifically a certain move over and over. If you're not mindlessly spamming projectiles but spamming them with some tact, that is a viable way of winning, and quite common in fighters.Spamming doesn't win unless you're bad. Spamming is predictable and easy to punish. Zoning isn't.
That I believe is the kind of thinking tournament players use because they are playing to win money. If its offline casuals or online, you are just there to learn how to beat people that use strategies like zoning and see how many timesyou can win with your strategy and until someone beats you, you will continue to use it.Spamming, zoning..makes no difference to me. I'm just trying to outplay my opponent w/e their tactic might be. Because I'm gonna use any tactic necessary just as they are. I really don't see why people get so upset over videogames. Unless there's money involved or other assets, just play. You win some, you lose some. No biggie.
It's fine, He doesn't like you either.I spam alot but when kano spams me i get really salty. I rage like hell. I just cant stand that guy
I agree with this ^ plus while zoning, I like to spam projectiles for chip damage too if they decide to block it and not/can't duck it. When I play Ermac or Sektor, I spam missles and fireballs but not "to rely on winning on that alone" but by zoning, keeping my opponents where I want them then deciding what I want to do next. The two aren't mutually exclusive. its more of a cop out by a salty player who isnt winning. What exactly does playing normally mean? Who decides what is a normal style of play? Do all character's play normally the same way? Is Noob's normal way of playing the same as Liu Kang's?
