Yes. Yes! PREACH!
Thank you so much. You win the internet!
Idk what you want from me man. I gave you my opinion, and it differs from yours. I'm not trying to use one liners to hide, I'm just making the statement. Stop bitching, figure it out, or go home. That's how competition works.

I am not talking about you... you are at least defending your position.

I mean what else am I supposed to say? Every thing I said was fact. Both players have access to the same tools, save for p1 adv in mk. So it truly is intelligence and skill that decides who comes out on top. Am I supposed to hold his hand and tell him how to beat me? No that's his job. If he can't do it, he shouldn't bitch, he should just quit. I don't know how much more blunt I should be.
More bluntness required...

Too old for this Shit
I do agree with that because the purpose of even playing a match is to win. I don't believe anybody is here and does not compete or intend to. Yes this is a competitive site but the problem is that there people who want to compete using characters who may not be considered top tier or have no chance of even placing well. It's like they might as well only put the top 8 character's avatars on the front page and only be able to discuss them because the only way to win is to use a top tier character to most people. Us low tier mains pretty much get isolated just because we use a low tier character. And when we do win we gotta hear excuses like'' i didn't know the matchup because no one hardly uses that character.'' It doesn't matter if we win by a hair or a mile. People say it either way. I never complain when I lose. I just say good game. And I'd get called dumb for using a character that I have a well established chemistry with.
EDIT: My bad.you were probably referring to the''get better''part.lol o well.
I was referring more to this site and at people in tournaments but I see what you mean.
Ahhh got you..I will put it in that respective
In regards to tournaments and this site then..It's the difference of what separates the Men from the Boys..

-The Man: Will champion a lesser known/tier character.. Put tons of time in, learn the character like the back of their hand, using the lack of MU experience as a benefit for them, and take that character to great new heights, giving the character exposure, and therefore drawing more people to give that character a chance. Win or lose, The Man makes the game about the character and trying to win..He will then take his experiences here to a public forum, post about his experiences, what helped in his victory, what caused his defeat and what he learned from either.. Again, making it about the character..And how the character community can level up and overcome obstacles, or make MU's easier.. Give advise, teach and lead..

The Boy: Will champion a lesser known/tier character.. Put tons of time in, learn the character like the back of their hand, using the lack of MU experience as a benefit for them, and take that character to great new heights, giving the character exposure, and therefore drawing more people to give that character a chance. Win or lose, The Boy makes the game about the themselves and why they won or lost. He will then take his experience to a public forum like this, post about how he won or lost. In the case of the win- The Boy does everything right, everything the boy does is flawless, and he pulled no stops to win..in the case of a loss The Boy puts everyone except himself on blast and excuses start to fill the screen.. Zoning was spamming (even though he may have used a range character), interactables are cheap (even though he used a few himself), The MU didn't favor his character, he was feeling sick, and his pet cockroach just died the night prior. Finally he will go on to bash the character because they are now unusable and garbage (in this case causing a greater divide in the character community and stripping away any legitimateness they had built with the character, causing way more harm than good) all the while making themselves look like a smacked ass..

In short:

-The Man: is an Epic Saga

The Boy: is reality television

I will spit on your tomb!
I mean what else am I supposed to say? Every thing I said was fact................................
Fact? No, what you said was an opinion. There is an astronomical difference even between a well informed opinion (not that I implying you have given one) and a emphatic fact. The fact that you're still going on with black and white terminology screams you just don't understand that subtle difference.

I really enjoy the fact that MorbidAltruism likes a post, then also likes the post that criticizes it. That's spreadin' the love, brother. We need some more of that around here. Good discussion, btw.

I am not really sure if you are being sarcastic or not... but I am definitely that type of person. :p

I think we should wait till evo to determine if we want to keep things like interactables/transitions in tournaments for IGAU, also wait for evo to determine what balances would be quite helpful and necessary. CEO might be good for this, but EVO would do us better. Also yeah i am definitely guilty of telling ppl to "adapt", but i tell ppl that bcuz it is good when ppl level up and find ways to deal with something annoying. That will make them a better player and allow them to help others with the problem they used to have.

At least you have a reason. Some people just throw it out there. :p

haha true, some ppl just do it too be assholes or just to troll someone and etc. I do it bcuz I like watching/playing ppl who do things the way they should do them in a matchup and adapt properly depending on the matchup. I know there are some super hard matchups (like lex luthor vs superman), but even in those it is possible to win/make the matchup very competitive.

For me, the true hype comes from watching characters - who have real disadvantages OR haven't been fully explored - win. I was really pleased when Sonya, Jax and Shang started gaining tourney momentum in MK9. Looking forward to similar happenings with Injustice. Judge me all you want, but I love an underdog.
