Awesome to see Grundy played so well. That character is so cool; glad to see someone playing him hard. He's such a sick grappler. Command grab choices are a cool mechanic, plus, he has the near-NRS-standard "move that hits from full screen" which lets him get in... he has to be one of the most well-equipped grappler characters in years.

1 - No. Lobo is NOT better than Grundy. But there's already been 15 people who have said that.

2 - I cannot understand how people are able to play on a hitbox. It seems SOOOO foreign to me. I can't even wrap my mind around it.

Only a few "famous" capcom players tried MK, and they have done well in majors. Alex Valle literally just recently started playing the game.

this seems like a stereotype if you ask me, I for sure dnt make bs tier list or whine about every little thing a character has, instead I just adjust and ignore tier list. And saying mk players dnt excel at the games we are bound to play usually (NRS games) sounds quite illogical.

Not to downplay Tyrant's win, he has the best Grundy right now along with Mikemetroid, but I feel he beat people who didn't know the matchup or just lacked skill. If he played an equally skilled (Tyrant was the most skilled player that night) Superman or Batman, or Black Adam, he wouldn't have made it far. Hell the only Superman that could have beaten his Grundy there that night was Tyrant's himself. Valle didn't push block him when he was cornered not even once during their fight from what I remember.

On a different note, Rip ditching his scruby Superman to become an even more scruby Batman was both embarrassing (at all his combo drops) and aggravating (at him still winning a lot of fights for no understandable reason).

Alex Valle is a legendary gamer though. That's like Daigo coming in and beating people at Tekken, then saying (insert his favorite game) is better. SF also is a vastly more popular game which will have more people as well.

And how is Valle getting further than REO, Brady, Chris G, Tyrant, and others? Alex Valle is also very good at Tekken and many other games as well

On that same note all grundy needs to do is read one OR and he can get in and pressure lantern. if you activate defense chain lantern is forced to come to you and it becomes a very different fight. Also if grundy baits one mini gun and back dashes out of range he gets a full combo or at worst a trait grab into defense chain. I used to think 7-3 on that match but with recent adjustments I'm thinking its 6-4. Black adam Is definately 7-3 at best and probably 8-2. He's the only character that I lose to much weaker players with the exception of scorpion and thats mainly the newness factor. The only other match I really think is heavily against grundy is hawkgirl. 7-3 maybe 8-2. But its not so bad that a random hawk girl can body grundy unlike black adam.


The thing I noticed most about tyrant was how easily he played using a hitbox. I may need to steal my girlfriends and learn to play. Especially with scorpions release.
