RDK Tyrant Wins I:GAU at Wednesday Night Fights 3.3

Congrats to Tyrant on winning WNF. Cool to see Grundy win WNF, as well as Alex using batman. I'm actually surprised there aren't more batman players at WNF though. I'm sure Valle will levelup his batman overtime, he usually like's to find stuff out on his own, so he's not going to busting out all the setup and best combos as of right now. He goes into the lab constantly, so pretty good for getting second.

Also, Aris was not eliminated by Legend. He was sent to losers by Legend, but it was Rip that eliminated him.

Sickest matches of the night was Rip vs. True and Valle vs. Theo. Honorable mention: Filipenoman's Rose is godlike, those were some sick matches in SF4. Good stuff to him. Also thanks to Commando for the stream.

VF doesnt really have tiers, and if they do high level players rarely stick to them. Same thing applies to Tekken UNLESS it is in the U.S., because U.S> is chock full of tier whores.

I have to disagree. The Japanese guys seem to be much bigger tier whores. Or maybe I think that because I think of Diago when I think of Japanese FG players.

Valle just placed second and beat many MK players even though he just picked up Batman and kept dropping ALL of his combos (did he even know how to combo with Batman?). So if he sucks that much why are so many MK players losing to him? Sounds to me like some MK players need to step up to Valle's level and not the other way around.

LBSH Valle must have some serious fundamentals to place 2nd without landing a 4 hit combo LOL. Yeah he obviously didn't know the Grundy matchup but with enough exp he will be pretty solid at this game I think.

Good shit to LEGEND for taking down the WNF undisputed champ with The Flash! I like how you didn't let Aris breathe at all.

Yea anyone who says valle is bad is obviously off their rocker. He just won a major for SF4 as well. Just cause he doesnt know the best combos/setups doesnt mean shit. Fundamentals make up for all of that.

Only? What other weekly gets even close to 38 players? And if Superman and Black Adam are Grundy's toughest match-ups then yeah, Tyrant has to fight a lot of those considering every other socal player uses them

In case you didn't notice, tyrant switched to superman to beat black adam.
So, Tyrant won with Grundy but didn't use him the entire time. He switched to Superman to beat the black adams. This is what I'm talking about. So even though Grundy was the character he won with, it's not the character that he used the whole time. BECAUSE I can guarantee he didn't use Superman against Black Adam for his health. Alot more props if tyrant wouldnt have switched to Superman against Black Adam. Grundy/Superman is really what won the tourney overall. You can be assured, that if the finals came down to another black adam, you would have most likely seen another superman/black adam match.

No doubt Tyrant could beat those characters with Grundy. I've seen matches where he's done really well against them. All the RESPECT in the world to tyrant. But he is smart to swith against the black adams etc of the world. A 38 man tourney, he has alot less bullshit to deal with then in those 200+ majors where he has to go through counter after counter. Not saying he couldn't, but it would be difficult and don't know if we will ever see a Grundy win a major. I hope we do, but I'll believe it when we see it.

To people hating on Capcom players -- this community has become really mixed, with guys coming in from Marvel, SF, Tekken, Skullgirls etc.. I haven't seen all this hate people are talking about. Most of the players that have crossed over have actually been really cool and seem like good people.

Listening to random crying forum kids at SRK is like listening to random crying forum kids here -- you should know what you're getting into and what to ignore

But overall, with the people that are actually playing in tournaments, it seems like everything's been cool and it's taking competition to higher levels.

I could never understand why Capcom players and MK players can't get along. It's like XBOX vs. Playstation. Why not like both? I've always like all fighting games. I love Capcom games and I also like the MK games. I even loved the Guilty Gear series. All fighting games take skill to play and not every game fits everyone. No need to hate on the "other" side. The fighting game community needs to grow, not divide. The only thing I don't like about the "online" MK community, is all the hate mail and filthy talk online that I've experienced. Just win and lose with dignity.

its not as bad as you make it sound. A lot of the other communities aren't that hostile. Its mostly just from "word of mouth" or just assumptions of other communities.

Uh, did nobody notice RDK Godspeed struggling against Twisted's Nightwing...What the hell was up with that? I don't want to call anybody out, as an online warrior myself, but wingding spam and Escrima d12 all day beats Black Adam all day, apparently? Embarrassing to watch as a NW player...

That was a complete troll btw. If you notice half of the match I was tea bagging and dive kick spamming. I also was messing around with frost and cyborg. Very off week for me.
