Injustice Bounce Cancel Tutorial by Aris + An Easy Input Method

There's probably a use for bounce cancels or MBDC during combos but I haven't really found any with the characters I use.
Me neither. They're not as usefull as FADCs in SF, haha. Imo, they might be more appealing if they weren't as expensive. 2 blocks of meter is too much. It may give the lower tier characters a little edge.

Yeah but -why- would you EVER use a bounce cancel? I can never justify 2 bars of meter for something like this. Even if you do a combo where you manage to sneak in a b3->stage transition, the extra damage is so scaled you end up with an extra like 10% damage for 2 bars of meter. I can't justify it
End of the round... armor... unclashable damage that leads to another unclashable move. Or you can just win/lose matches with un-used meter left on the table.

It is funny that this got front paged though since it really was known forever.

The mechanic was known since day 1 but I didn't know about the shortcut.

I lied. I found a use:

j3, d2 xx bounce cancel leads to 32% or more damage. It's super damage for 2 meters so it can be worth it. Why use j3 instead of j1/j2? Well sometimes j3 can chase backdashes better and sometimes you have no choice. Like if you read a Killer Frost slide with Sinestro and neutral jump, KF is right under and slightly behind you so nj1/nj2 won't hit. So in this case I would do nj3, d2 xx bounce cancel.

There were posts talking about the shortcut on release date on TYM.

The only 'good' use for bounce cancels imo is in combination with that doubleperfect anti-wakeup option select . Some characters can bounce cancel from a normal and actually connect (maybe on meatys only, have to test that). By bounce cancelling the normal, you will beat out a wake-up, catch backdashers and if you connect with the normal, you still get the wallbounce. Still not sure if it's worth the meter, though.
