For some reason they don't count as projectiles so they blow up all venom

So does his trait if he traits and then hits you

On a semi-related note, I think Shazam's super counts as a projectile, because I blew it up with lvl3 charge. never did test it extensively though, so it could have been a fluke.

Level three Venom beats out all armor. Including Doomsday's trait and Lex's trait.

Re: Nightwing:

During the neutral game, never duck if he is in footsie range while he is in Escrima. He has limited low starters, but can combo off overhead in both stances.

The main time you need to look for lows is when he is in Staff, he can do a mid, low string xx combo. His staff projectiles are also lows that start combos at the right ranges.

Abuse his lack of ranged normals when he is in Escrima. Abuse his slower movement in Staff.

In Escrima, look out for his D12. This string is +8 on block and leads to frame traps. Combos into his bnb on hit, but both hits are MID, not low. Expect a followup normal after D12 on block, you can armor through the pressure as he does not have anything that hits multiple times in Escrima. His Fali Fury only initiates the rapid hits after the first hit connects.

In Staff, his D1 is also +8 on block. Don't let him set up staff pressure as he can freely mixup between mid, low and mid, overhead strings. He can also get 36% meterless off a raw staff overhead. Watch out for staff spin, as it blows up armor. He has arguably stronger wakeup in Staff than Escrima, with staff spin being safe on block and good against armor.

Good mobility
High damage for little cost
projectiles that don't count as projectiles
Decent damage from a range


I'd say 7-3 perhaps. His wake-up and anti-air is kinda ass though.

I think Adam, Batman, and Superman are our worst match ups. Killer Frost is still a bitch.

I've got Deathstroke pegged as a 5-5 now. Lack-luster wake-options vs Bane when he gets in and nerfed to fuck zoning makes this a LOT easier.

I get heavily annoyed with DS. It seems nearly everytime I attempt a wake up stuff he use sword flip or spin defeating armor with it's fast multiple hits. I know you can punish them on block but I get caught by that BS to much. I also think on-line that connection is a huge factor for getting in on his zoning, too many WTF moments. But I can see 5-5, however I think many will disagree with you.

And for the bad match ups I agree, they're pretty bad. Anyone faced a decent cyborg at all? I've faced a couple and they didn't zone at all. In short they knew nothing of strength.

lol same as me, maining both stroke and bane. Cyborg has good zoning, but only if done right. If not, then the match is in Banes favor.

Doom and Nori, do you guys have video of your recent matches? I'd like to see how you both play against each other to see how I can vary up my game plan.

I have an iphone and that's my only way to record but don't know how to do it during a match. I'm not very media savvy as far as recording shit. Maybe Doombawkz has a way to record. Our matches usually go back and forth I don't mind having them recorded. Unless he goes on a streak against me, then it's all lag and needs to be deleted

I don't think so. My apartment burned down last year due to an idiot fucking neighbor leaving his BBQ on. So I had to buy a PS3 used to save money so I have no idea what it came w/ but I'm not familiar w/any kind of microphone coming w/PS3. 360 maybe

Damn that sucks. I remember my scumbag neighbor complained to the rental office that too many people knocked on my door and it was interfering with his sleep.

Back on topic. I didn't get a mic when I bought my PS3, I got a mic with my Stick though

Must be a PS3 thing, not sure. All xbox's come with a genaric mic. If you use a wired set up they're cheap to get, wireless is another story...

Wait, Xbox doesn't use bluetooth? Because you can use a regular bluetooth headset for a PS3 and it works just fine.

No they don't to my knowledge. There is only 1 completely wireless headset made by Triton. I'm told it's badass but it's also over $200 last I checked. Guess they have xbox's wireless secrets. All other headsets have to at least plug into the console or controller for game chat. Not sure on PS3 as I have absolut 0 experience there.

What do you guys make of the Ares match up? Faced a pretty good one today for the first time and it was...well grueling. Had a hard time moving in on him because I never seemed to block the right way to stop his trait and never had the right venom to stop his godsmack move when he used it. It is fair to say he was much better than me but still I can see it being a bit challenging. What do you guys think.
