Apologies for not posting like I said I would.

I haven't bee able to get in touch with Greg (store manager) for some time. The assistant was being, for lack of a better term, a dick the last time I wanted to set up a PS3 in the store. Since Greg is very interested in us succeeding, I wanna try to set up at the store this weekend. On top of that, Gambini is interested in coming from Knoxville to play. So to minimize concern of the assistant staff I'll bring my PS3, MK, two sticks and hopefully a TV. If you have a TV of any kind, please let me know and try to bring it because it would be much easier on me if I could just bring an entire setup minus the TV. If you can't bring one then I'll do my best, but a TV from your end would be phenomenal. Mine is a 20 inch big daddy from the 90s. Screen looks fine, but it's heavy as hell. Tough loading that beast around, but I'll bring it if I have to.

I'll try to set something up for Sunday...shouldn't be a problem...just have to figure out the hours. I'll make a trip there in the morning to get some stuff straightened out, and I'll get back to you around noon tomorrow. If all else fails, I'll be interested in playing at your house or something. I would rather go to G2K simply because Gambini is looking to bring himself and maybe two others from Knoxville.

I would definitely rather stick with G2K too. That way we can keep the community a little more involved. I have one pad that I can bring & a 2nd ps3 if we need it.

Not sure what I can do about getting a tv but I'll try to make it work. Sunday definitely works for me, I'm looking forward to it :D

Sounds good...since we will only have 3 pads, I see no point in having 2 PS3s unless we can get the store to provide one....it would also be tough for me to bring two tvs. Greg will provide things all day however, TV included, so I'll try my best to get hold of him tomorrow (today). If not, I think one will be ok.

I only have one person so far that is thinking about coming (who I will drag there against his will :p), and I still need to get in touch with 3 other people who may or may not have classes/work too late in the afternoon. I also brought my PS3 back home with me, so I have 2 PS3 pads and I brought one of http://www.madcatz.com/productinfo.asp?page=247&GSProd=5081&GSCat=97&CategoryImg=Xbox_360_Controllers in case we play on 360, since 360 is unfortunately the console of choice in the middle TN area.

But don't be accommodating just for me. If something works better for other people and not for me, then you just saved me 4+ hours of total driving time.

Understood...I hate xbox so you have no worries there.

Yet to get hold of Greg :rant3: so I will force the assistant to accommodate. Let's call it Sunday at 3pm. We always do it 2 hours before the store closes but I think we may need an hour longer in case a few more show up. Plus, if you guys don't mind, we can put in 3 bucks for a tournament if enough are there. That would make the guys a little bit more interested in helping us out. The winner would take store credit (yuck) but if that's acceptable for everyone that is coming, then it would help bunches.

I will bring power strips and extension cords to make sure they have no excuse of not letting us play. So be ready for some Kombat. The only thing that may change is the time. I would like it to be all day....they don't have any customers on Sunday so I really don't see the problem. I'll let you guys know.

Oh and by the way...if you are able to bring your PS3 then by all means, do not hesitate. If not that is ok, just bring your pads....that would be extremely helpful. No xbox here...impossible to put anything on the screen with that crap...no disrespect to any that play, but the sticks that come with the system might as well be destroyed.

A east Tennessee thread 0.o I live in Knoxville so to Johnson city it's like a 2 hour drive? I'm interested in this for sure. I'm also thinking about heading down to Atlanta for some stuff.

Yep its not far, I make the trip every week. It looks like we've got quite a few Knoxville people

Finally, looks like things are getting started. I hope that your guy will be able to make it Seapeople...always, the more the merrier. So, that means GAMBINI HELP HIM....NOW!!!!!!! Just kidding, but in all seriousness, if that many people come, I will hold a gun to the assistant manager's head and make him let us play! (Just kidding again, I'm not crazy)

If you can seriously make the drive every week I will put this together like the ones you see on the front page. Live stream, commentary, the works. So don't come in thinking it will be small time forever. Support leads to more support, which leads to front page material :moonwalk:. Give gamers around here a place to level up and meet others that have the same passion. That's all I really want...old-school arcade days! I'll post an update on Sunday soon! If you don't hear from me, just be there at 3pm ready to battle!

Sure can. It doesn't look like he has been on TYM in a week, so have him PM me so I can grab his number/address. He probably doesn't want that stuff public to everyone :p.

I am leaving in like 30/45 minutes. Embarq85 said that he didn't want to make me drive way out of my way to pick him up, so that is 1 down. I am also bringing a (shitty)camera and tripod so we can youtube it.

Back at you Seapeople...and good stuff Gambini. Sorry if I didn't seem too competitive. Just having the ability to play against someone that knows what they are doing and OFFLINE really just let's me relax much more. Maybe next time I'll get more aggressive, but first, as you know, I gotta pick who I want to main. Yes, I may have a deep roster but none of them are really played at the highest level. I have to trust my basic skills and my reads to beat up on people at the moment. Right now though, Mustard is looking really good! Great Sub....I think you should give Reptile a little more action though. I felt threatened by that character a lot more.

Gambini...sick Jade man....made me choke too much and just overall confusing. Not familiar with that matchup too much with any character except Noob, and with him today, I couldn't finish combos. ESPECIALLY AIR TO AIR. I would much rather have a sold 15% up there instead of 3%. Whatever though, maybe next time I'll be ready for you guys and not choke as much.

Much fun though. Just happy to see that there is people somewhat close to me that love the game just as much. Hope to see you guys soon! Much respect!

After like 9 hours of nothing working the way I thought it would, I finally got the video on Youtube.
Check the video info for timestamps of the fights. And if those time stamps in the info get offset by 25 seconds (again), then I might explode.

Edit: I can't figure out how to not have the video embed in the post, and since the video info on youtube is pretty much the only way to navigate the video efficiently, you will have to copy+paste this:

Like to go ahead and correct myself before someone else does...startup frames weren't added to Raidens tele...its the end frames...lol can't believe I said that.

Boy, you don't realize how rusty you are offline until you watch yourself. My goodness...lol great matches though guys. Can't wait for the next one.
