You have an unbreakable grab during the animation.I always thought clashes were stupid and too cinematic. The concept is good, but it's flawed and favors zoners. This game in it's entirety favors zoners. Grundy is too unique a character in fighting game history to be bottom tier in a game where a piece of every match is always in your opponents favor.
Grundy has the potential to body people but only if he gets in. This game is lots of fun, but it's development inadvertently will always favor zoners and make characters like Grundy (regardless of tools) lower tier.

You totally missed my point. You can get in on people. But it takes afterlife or more to do so against strong zoners. When you finally do get in on them, and have them in the corner, they clash and you're playing the Chase game again. A universal and fundamental part of the game should not favor some and hinder others to the extent that this hinders grapplers like Grundy, shazam, lobo and bane.Is 3 hits of armor and a wave dash not enough to get to someone?

It's hard to wakeup...but you can wakeup. And when you do you can make WC wiff and punish. I hear what your saying but just because its hard to time doesn't man it can't be done. Many times u can just jump out^^ This x100
It doesn't take you until 50% into their second lifebar for you to get in.
Grundy is ridiculous once he knocks you down and you have the perfect move for that purpose ... WALKING CORPSE. Yes you take damage, but it is nearly always in his favor. 23% EX into a hard knockdown that is hard as fuck to use a wakeup attack against. I've practiced and I still eat the 31% health chain 9 times out of 10 because I can't fucking move. That's 54% from one bar because I pressed a button or tried to use an interactable which Grundy gives no fucks about.

I agree.. There is a risk factor involved, meter management, thought process behind using/not using it, this system was made so deep and can alter outcome to games, just by playing smart.. Or dumb...I think its actually pretty fair. You're potentially losing all your meter and possibly a lot of life and using pretty much using the only breaker you're gonna get so the least it could do is put you midscreen unless you lose it and get pushed back to the corner pretty much. Nrs was actually smart about this feature imo
