Growing numbers of Injustice and its impact on the community

i always find it strange that when Arturo streams online matches he gets hundreds of viewers but when you guys stream good offline matches you only get like 40

hopefully so. I assume people outside the MK community don't know too much about GGA
It's not a fair comparison. I have a 10,000 person following on Twitter.
I use Spooky's Twitter as well, he has 20,000, as well as his facebook which has 8k likes.
My own channel has 11k subs as well with Spooky's 60k subs, as well as his 30 million followers on Twitch. It's much easier for me to get a following than it is for the average streamer.

I will work on a video tonight highlighting some of the other great Injustice channels or streams out there. I was supposed to work on it earlier but I got caught up in stuff

Do you any of you have YouTube channels? My poor internet connection makes streaming impossible, but I often watch players who upload videos of their streams.

Right now we are seeing a rise in stream numbers for tournaments and this is a great thing people love the game and they love watching the game as well. Something that perfect legend said on twitter got me thinking because I'm a fan of league of legends as well and one thing that they have that we don't really have right now is that the top players don't stream a whole lot. I understand some can't but in LoL that's how the fans stay connected to them in between tourneys and as of right now all we really have is tourneys. We have some occasional casuals, pl streams some and art streams some as well. But personally I would love to see the cd bros, tom brady, reo, 16 bit, pl and pig of the hut streaming a lot. This would help with the fans getting to see their favorite players more often. This could also develop more rivalries does everyone remember when CDjr and pl had their rivalry right around MLG in MK. I do I was glued to that tourney just waiting to see if PL or CDjr would pop off after. We the fans need the hype and the rivalries it makes the game feel like good and evil. Cause I was a fan of PL i looked at CDjr as the evil villain and my friend who liked CDjr saw it the other way around. But back to my point I think that if the best of the best start streaming more I think that it will help with the downtime between tourneys and the game could keep the hype going from tourneys to individual streams. For instance could you imagine seeing Tom Brady get second place at ECT then he goes and streams him in the lab and sparring REO and picking up new characters then goes to the next tourney and wins with all the hard work and effort that he put in. For the fans I think that would be amazing to watch and the fan would feel more connected to the player and how much it meant for the player to win that.

Thank you for the read and sorry if I rambled too much and got off topic
Let's be serious here. You should be playing Dota 2.

Let me use a pro wrestling analogy.

Tom Brady- CM Punk

REO- Austin Aeris

PL- Bobby Roode

Now what the OP saying is true if those guys stream more people would go nuts if those wrestlers I compared them to . I would flip my shit if CM Punk has a stream.

...whatever happened to that whole Filipino Champ drama thing? Like the challenge was laid down or whatever between Capcom and MK players? I don't really care much about the drama but I'd be curious to see if they have a different playstyle or if they generally do play better etc.

Of course I don't really know much about this stuff so there is a good chance I've already seen all SF/CPCM players on streams and not realised it

I've been working on building my stream by playing a lot of casual and online play. Myself and MortySeinfeld who are decently known MK9 players have been streaming a lot. I think were damn good at this game too so people should follow.

It frustrates me when I try to give insight into how top players think and level people up. But people would rather watch low quality streams like Peaceful AFK and the brice is right suck ass at this game and beg for donations.

GGA streams a lot, at least once a week. We never have that many viewers though. Seems like no one wants to just see matches anymore.
Then why don't you do more than just matches and come up with small character tutorials, strategies for characters and stuff like that?

I rarely manage to watch streams, because I'm always asleep at that time, but I like to check out the recordings :)

If you could shine some light on AZ, I would appreciate it.

We really have been providing some pretty good content and play, we just don't get much attention as of right now. Which might be a good thing if we fly under the radar for Evo season I guess.

What we need is a network -- for example, when I look up Starz I know that Spiderman 3 is on at 8pm because the network keeps track of all the different shows.

When I watch NBC, regardless of who is providing the content, I know where to find it.

I have a plan to fix this; but there are 657 things to do, and I have to get these Injustice brackets imported first.

This entire community could really take things to the next level, broadcast and promotion-wise; but it will take cooperation. I think it's perfectly doable though. This actually extends from streams to actual events and everything else. We need to go from a bunch of separate entities fighting over scraps to a semi-collaborative infrastructure that helps support and strengthen the entire thing.

Imagine if every single TV show had their own station... Yeah.

That is a good idea. That is my biggest problem... I have no idea when the streams are... or who is streaming. :16Bit

i'm not in the MK scene so I had no idea about the GGA. I'm going through about 5 hours of casuals you guys recorded yesterday. Thanks.
Thanks for checking us out! We didn't get too many of our top players on stream for long, hopefully we will after UFGT9 next weekend (them hidden strats!)

^^^ this is a perfect example a lot of people just dont know where to look at times over the past month ive told many people who were exclusive: SRK, dustloop, 8wr, etc users about TYM and how it is the go to dedicated NRS gaming site for competitive play. Just takes time.

Likewise its still strange even for me to be going to leveluplive, nycfurby and other streams for injustice activity. hell before injustice really took off i think i was only following kombat network lol

Trudy? Yes. Call a meeting with the board. And arrange for someone to pick up the suit.

Any well known top player should try streaming online king of the hill if they can. Let people know what room they are in.
It realy can build your fan base and get your name out there to people who dont alway keep track of this site. Self promotion can realy help you later on if things gets huge. it can also help people feel like they are part of the show and people love that.

xbox live has a way to send messages to fellow players you just played with at one time. use that to send thank you messages to people that have joined your room with a link to your stream site. You can also add links to your local community stream with time and dates.
