When I see people bitching about Deathstroke, I picture them starting to bitch, when they're watching a MMA match and the fight goes to the ground.
Your typical, unedjucated UFC fan will start booing and demanding the referee to stand them up, because he wants to see the fighters banging it out.

Ground game is a different aspect of that particular sport (or in our case game with the zoning). It's just a different style of playing and it's exciting in my opinion.
I have yet to see a match, where a good Deathstroke player JUST stays full screen and does the same input over and over and over again in order to spam the opponent out. What I see are people who are picking their shots and that is exciting. It's exciting to see if they will be able to do that and if their opponents will be able to find a way around it.

Except watching some people on the ground is excitng not GSPray and lay but others like bj penn big nog or nate diaz. Zoning is never fun to watch just like laying and praying is never fun to watch. If you like tito ortiz or GSP lay on a guy for 5 rounds or superman eye lazer spam or deathstroke gun spam then you sir have the lowest bar ever for being entertained.

It's mixed martial arts. If someone manages to hold you down for 5 rounds and you neither get up, nor do you submit him, then you're a bad mixed martial artist.
The guys in MMA are fighting for their life, fame and money.

It's a fighting game. If someone manages to spam you to death, without you being able to get in and punish the hell out of him, then you're a bad player.
The guys in the FGC are fighting for money I guess.

Neither of them want to entertain you. I wouldn't spend 8 hours daily, so that I could entertain a stupid fuck on the internet. I would spend that time for money and recognition.
If F23 Breath gives me that money and that recognition, then yeah, why not.

6 of the 10 character listed are black adam or superman. If you actually watch the stream there were even more BAs and Supermans who didnt make top 8.

Right now everybody is in competitive "I want to win" mode, not "I want to learn" mode. I'm 100% convinced top players are in the lab perfecting the chars they want to play and will not main BA/Superman. People are still learning the game

Ppl are lazy to learn new characters. There are a lot of matchups and you have to learn how to use your character specifically for each one.

Supermans and Black Adams are popular but no GL in top8? I guess he is terrible, pls uber buff GL right? And no KillerFrost or Batman in top 8? Pls uber buff them as well.

Yes ive watched every gsp fight ever. He hasnt finished a guy in literaly years he is the worst champ in the UFC and only draws cause lol Canada. Also those analogies are terribad and you should feel bad for making them. Pretty sure no QB is know for his kneel game pretty sure no pitcher is known for his intentional walk game.

So this is what happens when the competitive crowd gets a hold of a fighting game.. They dumb it down and make it look like its not worth playing.. They find the characters that take the least amount of work to be good with and call it "top tier".. They then all abuse these characters in hopes they get a easy win and make top 8..

How is this a positive for the over all FGC again? How does this help injustice to grow? Either the pros are too lazy to get good with other characters or Superman and Black Adam are that much better than the rest of the cast and the game is broken..
