P.S.: Sorry for the long post but I think the point of this thread is a valid one it just doesn't apply in all the cases.

I know it doesn't. This isn't me complaining about people who use the top tier characters. If you have fun with super man I don't care. Have a blast. Be good with the character. But there are a lot of people who I personally know, who will drop a character after losing 2 matches. Then try to learn the character that beat them. Then you have folks online who just quit every match they get bodied in. Then you have the people who pick deathstroke to just lame it up to the max. Then if the other player is playing say for the sake of the argument Bane, like me. I have to slowly deal with zoning. And then all of that work, all of that time invested getting in on that little ass hole. Then I don't even get the satisfaction of continuing the dominance.... just


"Your opponent has left the game". But they expect me to deal with the lameness. I do deal, but damn I'd like someone to take the loss and just accept that people can be challenging no matter who they play. Come backs are possible. Don't just...

This is a competitive gaming forum. We (at least most of us) play to win. We gain our enjoyment from working hard to win, giving ourselves the best oppurtunity to win, and acheiving that goal. Not from playing a certain character who is trash at the highest possible level (not saying bane is trash, but I think we can establish he is no where near Aquaman) and losing in the name of "fun". If thats what you want to do, then thats cool, and it doesn't make you any less of a gamer or a person or whatever, but you are in the wrong place and are in the minority here. Well I don't know, maybe you won't be, there are a lot of new members with that mentality it seems haha.

There's a difference between being competitive and going rage/quit only play top characters and not caring about anything else like a robot. At that point its like the fighting game doesn't matter as long as its a fighting game. This isn't a rant on doing what it takes to win, its a rant on those who can only stand playing if they win. I mean hell if you don't lose you don't really get better.

I know what you mean and it's a problem I've run into plenty a times as well. People will quit and then make a snide remark about me only beating them because I was playing Superman or something in the lines of that. Even though they had yet to land a single hit on me before I empty their first HP bar entirely. Also with the quit glitch I'd get a loss even tho I was dominant throughout. And it's not even about the loss to be honest it's more about even in loss still being a goddamn man about it. Everyone is raving on about how Harley hasn't got the slightest chance against Supes but I still lose 2 of out every 4 matches against her but even so I will acknowledge the effort it took to beat me by at least finishing the damn fight. It is a problem the most people are not even immature just sour twits that can't give credit where credit's due

Personally, I'm a competitive person in everything I do. If I lose a few games in a row I will get upset, but thats because I don't like knowing there are better players than me. I strive to be the best in everything I do. It's the same mentality I have for work and school. I understand its a video game and means jack shit in the grand scheme of things, but color me silly, I love to win. For me, being competitive is what makes it fun.

I do. But this isn't just a question limited to the walls of the TYM world. This isn't even something limited to Injustice/MK. This is legitimately a question that pertains to all gaming facets

Just like that ares reset, ppl crying that it needs to be gone its UNESCAPABLE, wooooops, its actually not. Everyone has multiple options getting out actually...Dont go into this lazy mindset and pick your character based on tier lists or tournament outcomes, thats just stupid. For exapmle i can't see myself having more fun dropping ares for superman, even if i get more wins. Superman looks boring as hell and i will never pick him up cause in the end, if u face a better player, he will beat you with your own character and there goes your fun

The highest trueskill person on XBL leaderboards is obviously not having fun, they have quit twice on me and quit on BDMao88 at least once. I play Doomsday, he's easy to pick up and fun to play. I also like him cause he beats the shit out of superman in his movie. Superman's a douche. He has been a douche long before this game came out which is why I wouldn't play him. Playing Doomsday against superdouche reminds me of the good times in the movie where Superman gets his ass beat.

Fun > wins for me.

They seemed to. They'd only really get in my face when I was low on venom, breath locking me. Occasionally doing that low grab move to mix it up. Lasers to keep me at bay. Only meter burning the lasers when i was level 1 or 2 venom.

One of those super man players was smarrgasm. We split 2-2 on XBL. But he's not maining supes. But he knew how to keep Bane off of him. Also he put Bane into a retirement home with that 82% laser.
