Every character has a projectile in some fashion first off
WTF? Forgetting about Flash?

Let me clarify for the smart asses around here

Projectile, special advancing move, teleport stomp or any long range jumper that would reach mid screen out such as lex ji3, cat's whip, joker ji3, etc

Lumpymoomilk

Also ex cat dash
Well in that kase that still doesn't work out the same way since some characters are too slow at a distance. In Flash's kase he's very punishable for his Torpedo.

The game is just too imbalanced imo so it's very hard to find a few things to focus on in terms of balance.

Play Arkham Asylum (either stage, either starting area) and explain to me how they are not a huge factor? At the start of the match.. Call it cell block.. 2 tv's a jump back away from each character.. Before announcer says begin.. Both characters have a 50/50 chance at eating a tv...don't you see what this adds to the game? Shit.. Is he power character or gadget? I'm going for my tv, is he? If he doesn't, and I get mine off, what combo am I going to hit with next to put him in range of the other tv off knock down? THIS IS BEFORE THE MATCH HAS EVEN STARTED!

Lets move down to the basement:
Each player starts out on either side of the large stone mask.. 2 man jump, 1 man live...Am I going for the mask! Is he? If he does, what am I doing? Right side player on a successful mask throw has the PIG to contest with if they want to charge in.. Then the match comes about controlling the PIG.. AND THIS IS BEFORE THE MATCH HAD EVEN STARTED!!!!!

To me it is a no brainer... Interactables add elements of thought, strategy (offensive/defensive), excitement, dread, anticipation (from both playing and watching perspectives), timing, additional need for meter management, makes meter that much more precious to where a possible heavy meter burn character has to think twice about dumping meter with a damn drone flying overhead every X seconds.

In closing.. NRS decided to put them in the game.. They ARE there.. They should NOT be banned, and players need to learn how to use/avoid them, and stop acting like damn babies. Why do people use S tier characters in tournaments? Because of character loyalty? Please, to up the chances of victory.. Go for the PIG or Die by the PIG.. Quit the "Bannnnn the PIG so my Soopes can't lose" attitude.

Edit: which is why I stand by Pigs OP, that making the stuffed character on a failed interactable eat the damage because it adds THAT MUCH MORE TO IT.
Lets evolve, not simplify!
NRS put Aquamans trait in, Doomsdays Boner, and Jokers Trait. They aren't all knowing gods that appease to the competitive gamer. Some of the things they put out are clearly stupid.

Injustice is a zoning game, a type of which that many people don't enjoy. Encouraging zoning by having projectiles with wonky hitboxes, are unblockable, and favor a gamestyle that makes matches boring to watch will kill the scene for this game. In most scenarios, it ends up with one player full screen with an unblockable that has to be backdashed/MB which basically still lets the person who threw it at the advantage. Noone is stupid enough to use them right at the start at close range.

Of course they are punishable up close, no one cares about that. Its that long range zoners can literally camp corners with unblockables will that ruin this game.

The pig is literally one of the dumbest things to ever hit the competitive fighting scene ever.

On the topic of interactables, in the Wayne Manor twice I've gotten hit by a 40% piano toss, both times as I tried to interrupt it from happening, is this intentional?

Some interactables hit twice, either due to armor or crappy hitboxes.
Its stupid and punishes you for armoring through.

Again, forgive my overall character ignorance, but isn't Flash his own projectile where he dashes diagonal up, which would stuff the air interactable user, causing them to take damage?
It's not really a projectile, it's a charge.

Even then, he risks a full kombo punish.

Smarrgasm

What's a Smarrgasm?
Pardon me for sounding ignorant... But doesn't BA have a floaty jump, good dash and nice dive kick that all help him avoid obstacles? And therefore does not really need a ranges option to make it count? Not being a smart ass troll.. Only experience I got with BA is getting my ass smashed by him.. Thanks
The premise for the change wasn't dodging them. It was punishing people by hitting them out from range. Black Adam has no way to do this. Sure he has good options to avoid but that's not the point here. I personally take way greater advantage of interactibles than most people I play but they are a tad ridiculous at the moment.

So are tourneys going to Ban AM, DD trait?
I'm not saying they are always right (I use Harley Quinn for chrissakes), but I just don't see how this game is a zoning game when projectiles don't cancel each other out, and many characters need to get in to damage..I see it as a mixed bag, and an enjoyable mixed bag at that..

Are you denying that Injustice doesn't reward zoning extremely heavily? Most of the current "Top Tiers" either have amazing zoning tools/incredibly long safe pokes or Armor on demand.

Aquamans trait is stupid as well, mentioning that is dumb.

In 20 years of fighters.. Zoning has not changed... Any fighter rewards "proper and smart" zoning.. It's a basic staple.

I'm sorry zoning and Aquaman cause you to spiral into such a tizzy... Perhaps it is a hole in your game?

Dulllyanna

You're going to shoot guns at me?
Very, but its all solved by turning them off.
It's also solved by just fixing the interactables that do that as opposed to throwing out the dishes with the dishwater. Speaking of which, DandyJ went through the stages testing this and iirc the ones that do this are the flying tank in Metropolis, the aforementioned piano and the chandelier in the Joker Asylum (But not the one in Wayne Manor lol).
