I have been frequenting the forums ever since I joined Test Your Might. Before that... I was lurking. While I was lurking I was very interested to see what TYM thought about the DLC speculation, it was a subject of interest for myself. I looked up a thread on our favorite Martian, the Martian Manhunter. The thread contained what we now know was a fake image of MMH's silhouette. It gave people the reasonable expectation that MMH was indeed DLC. The stars began to align themselves. There was also the unofficial DLC poll held on Boon's Twitter between Zoom and the Manhunter. Everyone has assumed Martian Manhunter would be DLC if he was not on the initial roster thanks to this poll. It seemed to be solidified in everyone's mind that the Manhunter had the highest chance of being DLC. He was one of the most requested characters in general. A founding member of the Justice League. If Hawkgirl could make it... why couldn't Martian Manhunter? Martian Manhunter is an essential member of DC that gained a huge source of popularity from the animated Justice League series. In order to summarize, everyone knew Martian Manhunter would be in the game one way or another. Not just as a background decoration.
Martian Manhunter was speculated to be in the game since the beginning. He was thought to be in the first DLC pack right before the Brazilian Voice Cast list was inadvertently confirmed. I am here to tell you that there is still hope for the Martian. Initially, I would like to state that I am not a Martian Manhunter fan. Hopefully this will assure you that I am asserting my opinion because I truly believe he has a significant chance at being DLC. I only support Martian Manhunter because it is right. I promised a friend (
Mulder) that if he helped campaign for Batgirl. I would help campaign for MMH. Here is my contribution to all of the Martian Manhunter fans. There is always faith and trust, it is all we have at this point in time. I know NRS destroyed the trust of thousands. It isn't as black and white though.
Firstly. I do not want to discredit NRS. So I will need to make a disclaimer. There is no evidence for MMH. The DLC poll was an unofficial DLC poll. This means that NRS does not have an obligation to make the Martian DLC. It was something fun to gauge the interest of the characters. The silhouette was not created or distributed by NRS. This means that they never heavily hinted at MMH or coerced anyone into buying the season pass by creating the assumption that MMH would be in the season pass. The only significant evidence that he is in the game came from Twitter. I would also like to say... that evidence is correct. Martian Manhunter is in the game. He is a background cameo character on the stage "Watchtower". NRS should hold no responsibility for what seems to be a huge coincidence.
This is where I will begin submitting all possibilities of the Martian. It is the relevant part of the thread that I hope incites faith in those who hope Martian Manhunter still has a chance.

Martian Manhunter could be an apology character.
This is the first possibility. This would only be likely if the season pass completely tanks. I theorize that if the season pass sells horribly they will want to correct public relations by adding a highly requested free character. To dismiss the bad blood as it were. This is the least likely possibility, so I am listing it first. It is still rational to assume that they wont just ignore the negative reception.

Martian Manhunter could be part of a fan voted character pack.
I speculate that the sales of the season pass might not enough to warrant creating a second season pass; however, they are enough to warrant creating another 1 or 2 characters. I think 2 is more likely. This would be another way to clear the distrust. They may create an official DLC and promise to make the highest requested characters for DLC. Martian Manhunter already has enough support to justify his creation.

The Negative Reception Theory.
NRS has noted the negative reception towards characters such as Zod and Scorpion. They may have enough time to swap Scorpion out for MMH. This isn't too likely, but it is a possibility. They do not want to create a character that people are stating they will not buy. The negative reception can be seen here on TYM, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Comicvine. So if it wasn't too late, they perhaps swapped Scorpion to stay true to their previous statements of keeping MK out of Injustice.

Scorpion is a troll/troll code.
We all know NRS has claimed that they want to keep Injustice separate from MK. If you still think they are telling the truth. Scorpion is clearly a troll code. Even if you think Scorpion is in the game. It may not be in the way you think. A joke has been going around the forums. I think it has validity. The joke is that Martian Manhunter is Scorpion. Allow me to clarify. It is very possible that they used another voice actor for Martian Manhunter. According to the Brazilian Voice Cast, Scorpion is voiced by the voice actor for Zod. The Scorpion voice actor is still listed though. It is possible that we will see joint voice acting if the MMH made it. Fairly interesting. I speculate that Scorpion will be included in MMH's introduction/ending as a cameo. Perhaps Scorpion will walk toward the opponent and say a catch phrase, then transform into MMH via shape shifting abilities. It could also be the other way around. However, I do not think they would troll that heavily. The other way around is that MMH walks up, then he turns into Scorpion. He proceeds to play like Scorpion, but he is technically MMH. The second possibility is more of a troll and joke. I think the first option is somewhat valid.

Martian Manhunter will be part of the second season pass.
It is blatantly obvious that MMH has rallied a lot of support. If the season pass sells adequately, he will most certainly be leading the second pass. This could be evidenced by the fact that NRS is already ahead on DLC. I think this is the most likely. The season pass is getting a lot of back lash; however, I think it will sell well enough to justify a second season pass. This season pass they will know the Injustice community wants to keep MK out of Injustice. This season pass they will know the Injustice community doesn't want a movie tie in. This season pass they will know the Injustice community doesn't want another roster slot taken by a Batman character. They will have the opportunity to do what the Injustice community wants the second time around. Most of the casuals who they are marketing will be gone by then. It is a strong possibility.
Some things to remember. MMH is a DC character. At this point everyone has a chance at being in the game. I truly believe there will be more DLC after the first season pass. However, there is good news and bad news. Take them with a grain of salt.
1. Good News- There is a rumor going around that NRS is working on MMH and Atrocitus for a second batch of DLC if the first season pass sells well. The rumor seems reliable. However, it is just a rumor. Not fact.

2. Bad News- MMH is highly iconic. There is always the possibility that they are saving him for the inevitable sequel. I don't think that will happen, but you should be aware that it is a possibility.
It is pertinent to remember. NRS isn't deaf. They are not stupid. Their ultimate goal is to make a profit and show that the game can be successful. DLC is a great way to support the game after launch. They know MMH is highly requested. They know he will sell. Keep that in mind. He is not out yet.
TL;DR- I basically just tried to put all of the MMH speculation I have come across in one place. It is all speculation. There is no evidence to support any of it. I just think that it is a good read if you are a Martian Manhunter fan. Hopefully I illuminated a possibility that you haven't thought of before. The goal is just to inspire MMH fans. I truly believe we will be seeing him in the game.
