Either ways I'm hosting tomorrow @ NOON, Scott is in and hopefully Matt too and who ever else that can make it on this short notice. If we get more than 4 players in then Matt you can bring your console and I can set up an extra station in my living room.

Ottawa Battle Royal V MK9 tournament ended today with Jer, with his mean Mileena on top.
I wont get into the details but I will upload some Videos from the tournament soon. Thx for all who showed up, locally and from Montreal, and for all the Ottawa scene players that didn't .... YOU SUCK ....

Yeah I'd be down for monthlies. I brought it up to the crew here and they'd be down for monthlies (myself, AboAly, Essay, Fred and crunkmusic would be almost 100%, the others I don't know but I'll PM/email them) so we'd have a nice little tournament every month. I'd be up for a $5 buy in so you MTL guys would have a reason to come over and play us with your A game.

I'll see what I can do about a PVR for that too.

I can host if I'm not working and if everyone is in. I also will be able to set up two stations if someone donates a system for the day.

So Al I've been reading about the stick parts we'll need, here's what I came up with:

MK stick uses Suzo-HAPP parts which are terrible. In everything. So if you want maximum life and responsiveness we need to change literally everything that isn't just wiring. That means the stick itself, microswitches (right now it uses e-switches which are super bad, hence the massive input drops you get) and buttons (from Suzo-HAPP to IL-Competition). I've looked on LL and paradise arcade and lizardlick is backordered on a lot of the colors you want and parts we need, so Paradise Arcade looks like our best bet. In total it comes to $83.00 USD with shipping for both of our orders, so put that at around $43.00 CAD each.

The parts that I'll order are as follow: Black IL Eurostick (Competition HAPP), 4x Cherry microswitches and 5 IL Pushbuttons (Convex and black, like our sticks).

Just tell me when you want them and I'll order right away. My CC is empty currently save for a few unimportant things so whenever you've got the money just put it aside and tell me to order them and just bring the money once the order is in or at the gather following that.

If you want a dual mod so it works on both 360 and PS3 for future events, I'm sure I can arrange that with Johnny once I get ahold of him. He's the local tech guy for the SRK community who takes care of our sticks. iirc he charged $80 for dual mods including parts and manpower but I'll update you on that if you want one.

Also also if people can donate some money, I can try to get a Hauppauge PVR ASAP. $240 is around the range that'll cost us with cables and taxes included. I've seen a few used ones on kijiji/usedottawa but without money support I can't make that happen on my own even for a cheap used one.

$5 buy in for casuals makes no sense unless we have an HQ setup. PVR will be voluntary only.

Scott, if you need to I will spot you the $5 for monthlies/ranbats if that ever gets on before you can get money. And I wouldn't be mad if you could only make it to Sunday gathers

Sorry guys, I am BEAT from work and neither I nor Al will be able to host tomorrow after all. Fucking crazy ass day.

On a sidenote, I now play on stick. I'll go and grab a USB hub Tuesday morning so we don't always have to switch cords and all. And my Liu Kang isn't garbage anymore.
