General/Other Batgirl is a wasted slot... wait... what?

I think the issue is that no one was clamoring for Batgirl, yet she still got chosen over dozens of more sought-after characters. I don't remember one mention of her before the game's release. She just totally came out of left field. She would have been fine as a character alt for Batman, leaving her slot available for a decent character like Black Manta or Captain Cold. It just feels like NRS is putting out a character that nobody asked for while ignoring thousands of pleas for more popular characters. I, for one, find that incredibly irritating.

I am pretty sure I tried that but I am going to check it out again thanks man!! Oh and yeah I know Zod and Scorpion are probably next, I was probably going to buy them all anyway, at least with the season pass I am not paying for Scorpion and I also get the skins.

Regardless, you can't deny how awesome he'd look in this game. His model would look amazing with a knife in each hand and knives strapped to his legs. I think he would transfer beautifully.

I think they already had some if not all the DLC planned and only did the polls to see how well they might sell and who they can make into DLC for a second wave to make even more cash. So MMH for second wave (assuming there even is a second wave.)

Also I think part of it is WB and DC. Not saying NRS isn't being stupid but WB and DC are working with them and could have easily stopped them and say "hey MMH and Starfire are pretty high on the list but Batgirl was low, why are you using her?".

But they didn't.

Popular? Sure, but the popularity is up and down and.....kinda weird at times. There are "mainstream" Batman fans that hardly know a thing about Nightwing or the different Robins and, as far as comics are concerned, other comics have outsold the Bat family at times (Red Lanterns outselling Catwoman in March and January) as well as some Bat family comics dropping in sales (Batgirl losing 20,000+ in a few months).

Define relevant.

Had to be in the game? Bane HAD to be in the game? Why? Because he starred in a movie that came out 10 months before Injustice? Because he broke the back of a beaten down and tired Batman? Could've easily have been Grodd.

Harley HAD to be in the game? Why? Because she's a fan favorite? Other fan favorites didn't get in. Because she's Joker's right hand? Other people don't get a single villain but Bats gets his main and his main's girlfriend.


You know what makes me say "WTF"? Not having Martian Manhunter but having Batgirl.

For me is a fact that all of this dlc characters where done a long time ago so ,in disk or not, It doesn´t really matter to me, if this is the way it´s going to be why not just cut the bllsht and make all of them available at once, they are not fooling anyone. There must be a second wave to justify the Poll do you people really think they started working on this DLC after it? do you have any idea how much time it takes to make a balanced fighting character?

Games are usually done, for the most part, weeks to months before the game is out and the final time is finding bugs, quality checks, balancing for fighting games, sending it off for certification, going gold, pressing the discs, then shipping them out. So, the game is pretty much done and, for weeks leading up to release, they go heavy into DLC development. I'm certain planning was done before hand in terms of which characters and concept art and such but the hard stuff didn't start until the main game was mostly done. They've already stated that it takes 6 weeks to develop a character so, yes, the characters were clearly worked on before the game was out given that Lobo is released 3 weeks later but you have absolutely NO proof that they completed every bit of DLC months ago and are just sitting on their asses waiting to throw them out to the masses. I also have no proof of my claims but please don't try to justify On-Disc DLC, intentional or not, nor come with this conspiracy theory.

I just hope they don´t take too much time releasing them, they must have made other unofficial polls during production so if there are more characters they must be nearly done if not finished already. I don´t suck but I am no hardcore fighting gamer so I just hope I am still playing this when they are available.

See I don't have a problem with her inclusion in particular, I have a problem with the over representation of Batman in general within this game. Most of the stages, story mode, character roster and character costumes are taken from the Batman franchise yet many other great DC characters only get 1 or 2 characters representing their comics at best, and even then some are completely absent (Martian Manhunter being the most blatantly obvious).

I'd be fine with the current amount of Batman characters if there was a tad more balanced out with every other series in the game rather than just simply add more Batman to milk it's popularity. What strikes me even more is that they have room for more Batman characters in the roster yet there's some incomplete members of iconic groups in the Justice League and Teen Titans (once again Martian Manhunter but also Beast Boy and Starfire.)

I just hope that after the season pass DLC is out they plan to bring in more Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Wonder Woman characters etc.

I do believe a second wave of DLC has to happen at this point, but will it be too little too late? The other issue comes with every DLC their will be a compatibility pack just like MK. You all know that style of patching reeked of rank ass and broke the game in some instances. Welp, just wait til Tuesday.

I think they are revealing the characters fairly fast, maybe if they keep up like this it means that they want to make a second one? That would be awesome!
Though i am surprised on how fast they "made" those 2 DLC characters - unless they knew the characters from the begining and the Asking the fans thing was just bull lol

This is what scares me actually. I hope this game doesn't end up with a load of issues because of this fast releasing. NRS may have tested the DLC already if they knew in advance but it's different when you have millions of people playing online at once rather than a select few. The netcode is already sort of ass, I hope it doesn't get worse.

Nothing left for me to do but sit and watch what happens before buying anything.

I consider myself smart for not buying that Season Pass after seeing that VERY MUCH MMH silhouette!! I guess i'll just have to wait and see who is in and who is not and decide - Coz Zod as a seperate character and Scorpion in this game AT ALL, don't look like worthy of my money to me....
