Oklahoma - Where games come to die.

I have found a fist full of other players, mostly SSF4 players who have picked up MK out here in Tulsa, but are there any others? Hosted a get together last night (thursday) and had about 6-8 people through out the night on 3 set ups. Might make this more regular if I can find more interest.

It goes well my friend. I see the goons are keeping up with this game. This is the first fighter since soul calibur 2 that has peaked my interest, but unfortunately there isn't an active community here. Hoping to get something going. Mr. Hates is supposed to come down in mid June and he's been active at mk, so there could be some hope yet.

I've been making monthly trips down to the Dallas area to visit friends, I may have to swing by next time I'm around.

Thursday night from 6 pm til 1 am, MK Game Night at my place in Tulsa. Currently 6-8 people with a new face or two showing up. Post if you're interested and I'll PM you directions.

I live in Norman. Hosting mk tomorrow. Text me for info. (405) 532-6303. Haven't found many mk players. Best practice i've found is DFW area. Jop and the goonz hold it down.

I also love tekken. So if anyone plays....

What up pretty surprised to even see a oklahoma thread lol but seem like most of yall is in Tulsa too bad im in the okc. Anyway if anybody got a spot that they play games at just let me know by sending me a message or something and if anything happens anywhere else ill at least try to make it.

Headed to Tulsa on thurs for mk game night. Send me a message if you'd like to roll with. I drive a Mazda rx8 ..... But it has decent backseats for a sports car lol. So yeah.

I can't make it to Tulsa this Thursday, but I am down for casuals here in Norman whenever. I didn't see your earlier post or I would have showed up. Text me the next time you are hosting casuals. You have my number. GamerBlake is in OKC now. I'll see if he wants to join us.

GG's last night Kiefka. You have a solid Cyrax. I need to learn to break grabs better. When you don't break that throw it puts pressure on avoiding his bombs.


@ Raidenwins - I know, right? Finally some more people are coming out of the shadows of this seemingly non existent fighting game scene.

Yeah man, this place is livening up a bit. In addition, I just got a HD PVR (personal video recorder) so I am now recording my matches. It'd be cool to record some casuals and put them up on YouTube or TYM. It has to be at my place though, my laptop is there and the entire set-up. Problem is, my apartment is very small, I got room for 3 people, no more.

GG's Tulsa. Sektor and Ermac piss me off. lol. Sektor is a god damn beast! That baiting with rockets, flamethrower trap is redic. Without Elbow Dash Reptile is screwed against him. Fast F-Ball isn't enough.

@ Raiden - I am off Tuesday and Wednesday if you wanna get together.

lol, still gotta respect kabal and reptile. sektor is a beast, but you just have to learn to be patient. thanks for coming out, hope we get some games in again some time.

Its ok, just work with him and you'll improve. Then have him bring you to Tulsa and you'll both improve =]

had an 8 hour mk/ssf4/tekken/mvc3 sesh last night. Thanks to all who showed up. Nice to meet some new faces and get some extremely good games in. Oklahoma's scene is showing a little more strength.

ESPECIALLY GAMERBLAKE. Dude. You have so much potential man. I'm going to try to get you to EVO some fucking how. I've played alot of people in MK. DFW, Tulsa area, random locals, and nobody has come even half as close to being as much of a competition as it was fighting you. Excellent use of meter, intimate juggle knowledge, and the ability to adapt on the fly no problem. out of probably 40 fights. I beat this kid ONCE. I respect that man. so much. I hope to play more games with you. I'll drive you man. Don't even need gas money. Just help me.

GG's last night. First real shot at playing this game so got a bit wrecked, but definately enjoyed learning the game a bit. I live in Norman and am free a few nights a week so just hit me up if you ever want some games. I can host if you don't want to no biggy. Gonna try and get matt to training mode me a bit as I noticed some gimmicky tactics I was week against so I'll have some more counters next time we play.
