Very good games to everybody last night. For only having played the game for 20 minutes you did amazingly well. And yes, GamerBlake's skills are unreal. The guy is crazy good with every character and knows some ridiculous combos.

@GamerBlake,

Dude, find a way to go to Evo. With your skills I am pretty sure you'll make an impact there. It's awesome to see a viable MK9 scene in Norman/OKC.

I am down for casuals pretty much anyday. With that said though, Friday and/or Saturday will probably work best for me just because I have to get up early in the mornings for work. But I can do other days as well, just need to leave early.

I'm in need of more competition it's nice facing Rev's Ermac, Brian's Subby, and RBK's Reptile last Thursday but I highly doubt Brian and RBK will make it out every Thursday.

If there are any people near the Tulsa area that visit these forums you guys really should come out, I mean REALLY COME OUT!!! I usually go to Rev's MK night on Thursday and you "Online Warriors" in the local area should make the trip. Hell, it only takes a few dozen games offline to get the real pace of the game down and once that happens going online to offline will be a breeze.

Norman/okc is having some random players come out of the woodwork. I host often. You are all welcome. Rev you need to gather up some peeps and drive em here.

Never play online. Spawns nasty habits.

If I didn't already put in 500 to 1000 miles or more per week in travel for work, I'd consider it, but I currently hate traveling at the moment.

Raidenwins - SHOW UP! i've had a couple run ins with some decent Raidens and I need to test some things. (#$%^!*& training mode!). I need to be a friggin shokan to use the damn training mode.

Haha, yeah, Training mode is not uber-useful, to put it mildly, although I've been finding putting the dummy on Wake-up sort of helpful. I'll be there, probably around 6:30.

Due to local interest dwindling to virtually no one, I'm no longer hosting mk nights for the Tulsa area. If anyone is interested in the Tulsa area, there is a group that's steadily growing in Norman you can visit.

Your game is indeed getting better, and so is Raidenwins's. Your Reptile is particularly insane, I am not used to seeing so much of his Elbow Dash.

About Sonya - LOL! Were you expecting the bitch in leather to be anything nice? Of course I've still got work to do on her before I can truly be a pro with her, she is by far tougher to use than she was for me in the last MK game I played. Mind-games are what I sorely need practice with as well as getting used to doing her long-term combos in competition, just I get in so a hurry to finish them and I worry about dropping them that it throws my game off.

Anyway, looking forward to more action!

Congrats to Gamerblake90 for his victory in the Tokyo in Tulsa MK9 tournament!!! Also congrats to MKsaibot and RaidenWins! You guys own asses.


also no shout outs to tournament organizers who A.) Don't know how to professionally run a bracket and B.) Just LEAVE open to edit brackets alone in a room full of yahoos. Too bad the chick running around in the Tifa Lockeheart get up didn't kick you guys in the balls and steal the marvel money.

ALSO: Tekken Baby.


If it weren't for badass mother fuckers like The Captain and Bi-Polar, my friend might have been completely dicked out of a win he honestly deserved. MUCH LOVE.

You guys go to Norman often? I'm going to OKC (Del City, to be exact) sometime in mid-early August for a few weeks and might be able snag a ride to make it a few times if it's in Norman. Tulsa's just a bit too far away. Don't got a license right now, so getting around is a bit tougher.
