I think these are advanced questions - but more like how to handle some things.
1. Since you largely have to commit to combos, is there any way to hit confirm things better? Let me give an example. In using Sub Zero's 22 string....ideally if the opponent blocks, I'd like to finish by going 224 xx ice clone to make the string safe. However, if they get hit I want to cancel into 22 xx ice blast. For some reason every time I try to wait for the hit confirm to finish the rest of the combo it seems to late and the combo doesn't finish. Is it true that I have to completely commit, or do I have to get better at reacting?
2. I am having trouble with certain strict timing combos. I don't want to cut corners and do an easier combo, I'd rather improve my ability to nail these. One for example that I have trouble with, is raiden's b321 xx teleport xx shocker - I can never seem to time it right, I don't know what I'm missing. I've seen some people that throw out 1 in between the teleport and shocker. I don't know if that makes it easier or harder.
