that's what i meant sometimes it's too slow to react to green lantern or deathstroke
You only do it as well if they're predictable with their ground projectiles. It's 100% better to WCC through their zoning. (Walking Corpse cancel) Especially mid range, if GL throws a air fireball and you WCC through it, it's a 51-56% punish.

Do the input as Grundy is slamming them on the floor. And you never use swamp hands to keep away, you only use it to catch someone slipping or punish them for throwing a projectile.
i actually use it to build meter half the time and chip them to death until they start trying to come in lol, i love it

Interesting, I never knew it did that. Good shit

As to getting the hang of it, it's just timing. Force yourself to get it 10 times in training mode in a succession, and it'll come naturally.

Question:
Do you only get the benefit from the last chain you did, or do they stack?

Example if I do a Pain chain (giving me more damage) and I then catch them with the Health chain (less damage taken), do I get benefit of more damage as well as health benefit or do I just get health benefit? (ie, last chain I used)

You only get one active at a time. So in your situation you would go power to health.

Are you guys able to do a swamp hands and mb it on reaction if it hits? I want to be able to, but atm I'm kinda just throwing out the ex one.

it sucks i cant update first post of this
any ways im having trouble with best wake up options, whats good to wake up with

also wanted to point out, a lot of combos dont hit depending on the stance

I want to say Grundy isnt exactly a wakeup and own character, but I'd say cleaver and air throw/trait/dead air

What are you referring to about combos not working depending on stance?

Wake up: MB F+3/b+3/cleaver spin, AA throw, WCC or WC (Also trait if they space incorrectly)

some moves, specificaly grabs more than the rest, wont connect depending on your stance
if you flip your stance they will
and this is VERY constant, so i think it might've been intended
for mk9 flip stance realy wasnt a big deal, maybe their trying to do actualy something with it this time

Question for some of you, can you use grave rot on wake up? Does it get invincibility frames like his other special moves? I doubt anyone would bother doing it, but it was interesting to think about.

I was trying this I don't think you get any invince off it as a wakeup sadly.

I only tend to wakeup if someone tries to cross me up (air grab) or if they jump in (MB cleaver).
If not I just block or pushblock... because losing one meter is better than losing 50%

Ok
How much advantage is grundy after all 3 of his trait enders?

the frame data in game i just..... bad for these throws. I feel like I'm getting away with more than I should be in the corner.

Do you guys always use Health chain for combo enders? I use it most of the time because it does the most damage and the health boost is useful when trying to get in. If I don't have problems getting in on a character I'll use damage as well. The block damage can be worthwhile if you know it's going to be a close call towards the end, especially against a Deathstroke or other spammy keepaway character.

Some other things to think about:
-Damage chain 2nd throw switches sides with the opponent. I use this to keep people in the corner when I don't have meter to bf2 MB. You lose some damage, but Grundy's corner game is strong.
-Block damage ender takes the longest time to complete, this may get more damage in grave rot combos.

I usually always do health trait due to force of habit of playing Q in 3s and that it does the most damage. The health really does matter since it's a 20% damage decrease. I only do chip against deathstroke.

I am trying to figure out how much advantage you are at from all of these.
I almost don't do the health chain at midscreen because it sends them full screen. Same with defense (unless deathstroke/Raven).

But the defense seems to give you the most advantage in the corner... and it also tosses them FURTHER into the corner ....

Yes the corner matters that much to me in my game. I'm more than willing to give up the small damage increase to have my stupid wall game in play.

Midscreen I just use Power chain. They're closer and it forces them to make quicker decisions.
