Can someone test if you can air throw Lantern out of the air turbine, Ill be testing this tonight when im off work but if someone can do it now I'm dying to know

I am trying to learn how to WCC cancel but everytime I press down back into something nothing happens... Any ideas or suggestions?

You can throw him out of it if it's high in the air, otherwise the turbine just smacks you in the face, but you can d+2 him as he flies past you if you have the quick reactions.

EDIT: if he does it low enough, you can punish him hard with WCC, 11~MB swamp hands, or d+2 11~MB swamp hands

You might be canceling it too early, you can also do a QCB and it'll work better (IMO)

Just for the sake of saying it

some of the AA stuff ... 11 actually is bad. It'll knock them just a hair further and you won't convert. 1% is not big enough for me to drop a combo and eat a wakeup.

I use 1 ... because it NEVER drops. Not into MB SH ... not into trait. Small thing... but the one time you need that combo... it'll happen and you'll hear my voice say "shoulda listened"

I personally don't like the timing of just using 1, my brain is use to the 11~MB Swamp hands timing as it is.
 
The frame data in this game makes me frown. It says in the basic attacks movelist that back 1 is -5 on block. But in the combo attacks it says that Born on a Monday (b1,3) is -22 on block. The problem with this is the fact that if b1 is blocked, the two hit low (3) never comes out. How could they ignore something this obvious?

I know the frame data is wrong and all, but c'mon.

some strings are like that, harley's b22 for example if the b2 is blocked no 2nd 2.
also with some strings you cant chain on whiff (ww's b23). just the way there designed i guess
 
So I found out that b2 has similar start up animation as swamp hands. So when Grundy is full screen you can bait your opponents jump with b2 then recover in time to do SH.

This is my first time playing this kind of 2D fighter and so far its been great. I really am learning a lot through these forums.

So, are there any frame trap set ups with his trait grab? I feel like I've went from a blockstring into circle/B before.

Haha yeah I had that too. If I had a penny for every time I heard this guy shriek "OVERPOWERED" down the mic I'd be a rich guy. If you're rolling your face across your controller hoping that it will win you the match then you're in no position to say something's OP.

Before I joined a KotH lobby I was playing player matches. The second and third players I met both ragequit the first fights before my finishing combo ended, lol. The anxiety is strong around Grundy.

Does anyone know if you can air-throw Doomsday out of his jumping attack? Not his belly-flop one. I don't know what it's called.... the unblockable one.

I was playing a Doomsday who only did that move the entire time, so I decided to make it a training session and see if I could catch him, but I wasn't able too. I was just wondering if my timing was off or if it ain't do-able

i've only gotten it to knock him out the air instead of grabbing him. If you use d2 it'll trade with you taking more damage obviously, but it kill his momentum a bit

Yeah, I use this sometimes to bait people into jumping at distance.


For Doomsday's meteor smash special thing you can forward dash under him after he goes up, then whiff punish with a full combo. This works with the MB version as well, but timing may be a little different.


Also on the subject of Chain throws, I Health chain mostly for the damage, but Damage chain leaves them closer for oki. Also the second hit of Damage chain switches sides, and I don't mind dropping a little damage to put them in the corner. Defense chain is great vs. Deathstroke and Cyborg, and kills some extra time on the clock.

Damage chain works perfect against opp. without good AA or wake-ups because it leaves you in range for an ambiguous ji2 ,sometimes the WCC after the health chain doesn't work because an early jump change the input of the cancel and WCC fails and you eat a free combo

If Aquaman uses his trait he could probably block the (3) from B1, 3
