[Request] Blue Beetle for DLC

I believe that Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes) should be a playable character in Injustice: Gods Among Us. He debuted in 2006 and for a character that has only been around for 7 years, he has garnered quite a size-able fan base (just check youtube, tumblr, or the DLC character poll on here if you don't believe me). I feel that this character has the potential to produce some awesome and unique combos and moves not to mention be incredibly fun to play as.​

BLUE BEETLE V. BLACK BEETLE (YJ:I)​

Jaime has been a part of the Teen Titans and Justice League International and has had two solo books so he is somewhat relatively known among comic fans. He has also appeared as a main character on Young Justice, was a reoccurring character on Batman Brave and the Bold as well as had an appearance on Smallville so he has had some mainstream exposure. His powers include a powered body armor suit, flight, enhanced strength and durability, as well as the ability to create a multitude of weapons (most commonly used is the sonic cannon).​

Since some people make a big deal about adding diversity to the game (be it power set, gender, ethnicity...etc) Jaime would satisfy them as he is Hispanic and has some unique powers (the ability to create any weapon). I feel he would have a lot to offer to a fighting game like this and he seems like he would be a natural fit to this game.

Yup Jaime should definitely be DLC! Well in my view he should have been a playable character in the game from the start but whatever lol DLC is cool too.

Its disappointing how few people have voted i felt for certain that there was a lot of interest in this character! However the people who did vote were at least for the most part overwhelmingly positive.

Yes! one of the characters i'd really love to see and in my top 4 of dlc wants. He would have such a interesting playstyle as well with the weapons he could make a excellent zoner or even a decent rushdown, perhaps having his 4 as a weapon swap out or something similar to nightwing? not diverse enough though i suppose.

Easy choice. Blue Beetle could be incredible. NRS does some killer character design, and I think they could get pretty creative with his move set. Id love to see him make it in via dlc.

Thanks for the honest answer. I guess we all have certain characters we want in over others so I won't fault you for that haha I'm obviously rooting for Blue Beetle

I'm a little torn because I would want him in, but he seems too similar to Cyborg, or at least how Cyborg is portrayed now. His main weapon is a sonic cannon that is produced from his arm, he's a morphing technological hybrid.... It just seems a little done already. I love the character though. But there's even more that I'd like to see in-game. I don't know!

i was thinking about the sonic cannon being too similar to cyborg's, maybe allow it to stun, use his mantis claws, the things he used in young justice to trap people, and (maybe a trait) scan the opponent looking for weaknesses (that's up to nrs to determine)

I mean, I'm sure they could do him differently, but I'm just kind of against shoe-horning a character in when they have someone with a similar fighting style already. Especially because there are SO many diverse characters and powersets/fighting styles in the DCU to choose from.

Sure, but I HATE all the suggestions that are more similar so that doesn't make me suddenly open to it here lol. Love the character. It depends on how many DLC characters they make, if I would want him to take up a spot or not.
