Well I'm new at this game so I still suck. But from my short exp, the worst matchups for me are: Deathstroke, Superman, Raven and Wonder Woman.

Well I'm new at this game so I still suck. But from my short exp, the worst matchups for me are: Deathstroke, Superman, Raven and Wonder Woman.
Superman isn't that bad. If you empty jump you'll go right through his air lazers. You just have to keep pressure on him and do your best not to get hit.

Deathstroke sucks, I'll agree. But it's pretty much the same as superman, just try to carefully dash your way in and pressure him. Try not to jump unless you have to though, as his guns knock you back farther in air.

I don't have much experience against the other two unfortunately.

we need to start utilising instant divekicks to get in, if a move is -20 or so from far, why not close the distance with a safe divekick?

I believe his ex divekick is positive on block, and if it hits you get a pretty decent combo. I use that to get in when I'm really frustrated. The most important point about getting in on zoners is being patient, and unpredictable with your movement. This is coming from a guy that played a zoner in street fighter for years.

Edit: Instant dive kicks are also a very good idea. I read somewhere that you can combo if they hit deep enough, haven't tried that out yet though.

The Doomsday matchup is brutal! Doomsday's corner mixups are the best mixups in the game no doubt and Black Adam is so free to them.
One of the things you can not do with Adam is get cornered. You really have to try to avoid it at all costs, and if you do happen to get into the corner you have to block and not panic.
 
Ok so after spending a couple of minutes in training mode, I'm pretty sure the Deathstroke matchup isn't that bad for Black Adam after all. In fact in the end it could end up being in BA's favor lol. 5-5 at worst imo.

Here are my notes on the Deathstroke MU:

-His Sword Flip reversal is around -15 on block which means we can punish it with: b2, 2, f2 and b1. More specifically, the best punishes are:

1. b2,3, 1,1 xx black magic, dash, b2,3, u, 1+3 (32%)
2. 2 xx black magic, fj2, (1,1 xx trait) b2,3, u, 1+3 (25-33%)
3. f2, 1 xx black magic, dash, b2,3, u, 1+3 (27%)
4. b1 xx black magic, fj2, (1,1 xx trait) b2,3, u, 1+3 (25-33%)
5. b1 xx black magic, fj2, 2,2,b1, hold forward, b2,3, u, 1+3 (27%)

-His Sword Spin reversal is safe but negative. Reverse the pressure. I suggest using b1 as it is +4 on block.

-From full screen the best thing to do is crouch block then take a few steps forward and crouch again.

-If you are far away but not full screen, you can actually react to the Machine Gun animation with a jump forward. From here far dive kick will hit. You can use EX version for a full combo: EX dive kick, dash, 1,1 xx black magic, dash, b2,3, u, 1+3 (32%)

-Use Black Magic when Deathstroke loses his zoning advantage. After blocking his non-EX machine gun or quickfire/low shots, Deathstroke loses his zoning advantage. Which means if he tries to shoot again he will flat out lose to lightning strike or black magic. Obviously the preferred option here is black magic as it allows a combo. Since it can be hard to get in on him you should always do a Dive Kick after landing black magic from far away as it puts you right next to him.

-If you land black magic from full screen, you can also dash and use Super. If you land black magic from far away or midscreen, you can dash twice and connect 1,1 to combo. This is universal tech but especially important to keep in mind in this MU.

-If you duck under or block any of his projectiles from far away, you can do a full dash forward safely and crouch block the next shots in time. The only exception is when you're in midrange, if you try to dash he can hit you in time before you're able to block.

-Thankfully, Deathstroke cannot shoot downwards while in the air. He can only shoot straight forward or diagonally up. This means there is very little risk in trying to throw black magic from far away after blocking his shots. If he jumps over or blocks black magic he can only punish for 6%. 16% if he spends meter.

-Only jump on reaction to Machine Gun. Never on anticipation. Why take the risk? He will alternate between ground and air control, especially vs Black Adam. He HAS TO otherwise you will get in for free every time right? And that's exactly what we're going to take advantage of! We will just wait for him to neutral jump and then take advantage of that opening to close distance or inflict damage.

-If you see Deathstroke neutral jump, dash forward once or twice. dash once and try to catch him as he lands with black magic or lightning storm. If you feel like trolling or getting in his head, you can try to throw a far bomb right under him.

That Black Adam got bodied lol why did you show me this. I said Black Adam was free to Doomsday's mixups which he is. That Doomsday didn't grab, b2, or ex charge either so it's not really an accurate representation of what Doomsday can really do to BA.
good job watching the first 5 mins when i had never played doomsday before.

the footage vs doomsday is about an hour long, next time watch what youre shown before commenting, doomsday DOES use eveyrthing you just mentioned.

this matchup is almost or even, ex lightning is a lifesaver

Doomsday is just trouble for everyone but in time it wont be so bad. I still think he will have advantage even when we know what we are doing cause his trait is hard to deal with and jd3 beats anything adam does in the air and even beats divekick for combos. Once in the corner you gotta get lucky with a wake up and then get the hell out.

the trait you can react with ex lightning for a free 13%, 2 ex lightnings at fullscreen

I played my first 150 games as doomsday . I can tell you from that side of things is still pretty scary. If black Adam gets the first hit of the match BA can do 40-50% damage. Doomsday can not. Another thing BA should try to do is feint drive kick pressure, meaning from full to mid screen do some straight down drive kicks and do not get predictable with your air pressure, because doomsday has 3 Anti Air options that well work against BA .

As I play BA more I will have more to add. Can anyone tell me if Forward+2>Back+2 is a legit combo or a prima guide mistake?

I feel any character that can apply pressure and get in dat ass, a la Batman and Doomsday, is a bad match-up for Black Adam. Agree or disagree?
