MB mechanics changing how armour can be used vs zoning

Considering that in IGAU you input a move and press MB after its started to enhance it, does it make it unable to armour through projectiles the same way as in MK?

In MK you could input, for example, ex shadow kick for instant armour to hit someone as the projectile is coming towards you and they hit their recovery frames.

In IGAU if the projectile is too close you won't have time to armour through because your armour won't be instant, if you try to do it like MK your special will come out but you won't have armour until the startup is over and you press MB. It's another change to how zoning functions now.

MKs anti zoning ex specials= Armour while startup activates for xx time/hits
IGAUs= Armour after startup is finished for xx time/hits

How do you feel about this?

It is awesome. There are so many ways to universally use the game mechanics to get in.

Also pushblock would allow zoners to get people out. The opposite of what the rush down is downing. So both sides of the table can be played with meter. I find this really balancing. It allows all cast members to have use of the game mechanics, where as in mk so some chars had armor at all.

If you're somehow put in a position where a projectile is that close and you couldn't react to it earlier, well then good on the zoner, I think it's fine that you wouldn't be able to armor through. I'm okay with anything that benefits Deathstroke zoning honestly.

that also applies to close up projectiles from sweep or even jump distance in situations where you'd normally rather to just armour through a projectile instead of taking a risk and jumping in anticipation at your opponent.

Yeah I noticed this and I don't really like it. Zoning is going to be really strong in this game too which will be a big problem. Hopefully they have characters good enough to get around it. From what I was told cyborg will have iagb = to if not faster than kabal. Idk how the fuck ur supposed to get around those without block dashing they are already super hard getting around with block dashing and instant armor but now block dashing and u have to wait for armor? Its going to be rough

The air projectiles aren't much faster than the grounded ones, in terms of recovery at least.

Lex's Air Charge is actually more punishable than his ground one too.

+blockstrings pushing ppl away + hazards

im guessing the heavy zoners wont have too good strings or have great tools but can't do something important like getting the lead back or being punishable when forced to change strategies at certain distances

Where's TJ Combo?
I think some special moves can be done by inputting the move+MB for ex version. You dont have to wait till it hits.

im wondering, if u do ffmb or bbmb in the middle of the string can u dash cancel those or is that only the b3 n f3 versions of those?
