IGAU will offer quick patching, tournament players who 'hated' Mortal Kombat enjoyed interactables

Is there some indicator on what objects are intractable/transitions? I'm worried about trying to grab random stuff in the background and getting blown up for it.
The button you have bound to stage interaction will appear next your lifebar, pulsing and shining when you're in range of an interactable.

Everything we do is theory fighting: X beats Y in theory, B is top 5 in theory, this is a good/bad matchup in theory.
Yes, but who ever heard of limiting tournament standards before a game is even released?

That requires tons of testing. And before someone says "NRS tested everything," we know from the history of fighting games that every developer is confident the game is balanced even when it isn't.

Oh no, that's just insane/stupid. I'm just saying don't brush it off because it's "theory fighting".

I'm sure that's certainly the case for some people, but it'd be pretty ignorant to say that there aren't people who hated MK9 as a game. I've definitely met people that do. They sincerely just don't want to play the game and can't comprehend that people do. We don't know whether or not these players in question did, but it's not really up to us to pretend to be experts on unnamed testers' opinions.

Unless you've got the roster of testers and their opinions of the game are well documented hither or thither, let's not try and speak for them.
And I've met and talked to people who hate games like SF4, Marvel3, Persona4, GG, Tekken and MK9 but they sure as hell do not go around trying to start flame wars. They just accept that it's not their type of game and go on about playing what they like.

And while I'm not going to pretend that I know who the tester's were, I think it's safe to say that it wasn't only MK9 players. It's obvious at this point that they took some of the biggest names in the FGC and had them play it. Otherwise, I don't think we would be getting as much "oh, SF player would love this because they did this different this time around" talk as we are.

More to the point, training mode includes hitbox like areas on screen that tell you when you can use them.

You must've missed all those early posts (and I mean day fucking 1) on EVERYWHERE with people saying stage shit should be banned. Plenty of those fossils still exist. Hell, there's an active thread in basic right now of someone saying the game will be broke because of no dash blocking.

Crying wolf is just what the FGC does. Its the one thing all the scenes have in common.

Skarlet who ?
Dem hypocrites. Worrying about stage interactables breaking game balance, being fine with Cyrax doing 100% combos.

Making decisions on whether interactables are balanced or not for tournaments right now would be dumb. Gotta wait and see.

I just hope that we as a collective community grow a pair and for Injustice and if something is actually broke (interactables in general, or levels specifically for example) they get banned. So many laggy and bad stages in MK9 are allowed to play on and posts regarding it are ignored.

Its irrelevant anyway. The barking dogs will quiet down a week after the game comes out and they get their hands on it. The haters will cower in the shadows for the duration of its life no matter what happens, but the people who actually play and support the game will set the tourney rules.

We have the internet and EVO circuit and everything else now, there's no more of this East Coast Rules, West Coast Rules, Sam's Basement rules shit anymore. Just people who do and don't know how a game is played competitively.
