Yeah GGA tends to run tournaments very unorganized like that. Also sorry I couldn't make it, was cleaning my place and something didn't agree with my throat. Ended up having trouble breathing the day of the tournament . But yo, good shit to everyone who made it out.

Also, Doc at GGA is extending a great offer to us for Wednesday nights, 5.00 for the private gaming rooms. That is a huge discount from the normal 15.00, but does not include the arcade floor, just the private gaming room. Last night there were a total of around 20 people that showed, but mk only had about 4-5 players. There were a total of around 5 setups, most of which Doc had supplied, so you only need to bring your stick/pad if you want to come out next week. Let's get as many mk people as possible, Chicago needs to be best at mk, it was made here! I'll post up about next weeks session when I have more info, and maybe we can get a stream going, or at least record some matches with the hauppauge hd pvr next time.

Ban kratos, keep everyone else. Like if we're doing this as a wednesday night fights sort of thing I don't see why we'd ban the dlc characters except for kratos.

I also think this week only dlc chars should be banned from this tournament. I want to use this as practice for evo. After evo is over any tournament we have I'm cool with dlc chars though.

Is the game room bring your own controller?


I vote to ban all of them because it is right before EVO. After that I say everyone but Kratos back in, and definitely ban any costumes with glitches until they're fixed.

Tonight (Saturday July 16) theres a tournament held by the GGA staff for MK9 and KOF13. The play is on their cabinets though, you will be using traditional MK button layout.

Wednesday is another tournament at GGA which is held by the SRK guys in the private game room. This is only 5 dollar venue fee, then 5 dollars for each tournament you want to enter. This is more of a "regular" tournament, you will bring your own controller you want to use.

I've heard your complaints, and I will be re-banning Skarlett, Kenshi, and Rain for Wednesday. Kratos and DLC Costumes are of course still banned.

For every tournament after Evo, however, Skarlett & co. will be in play.
