I don't think they care THAT much who wins...lol The only people that care THAT much are the negative Nancys on here always looking for something to whine about. The winner receives nothing, it's just for fun to show off gameplay...don't see how Batman losing changes anything.
I don't think they care who wins but I know for a fact what they do care about is having a Batman/Superman final. This whole thing was set-up with the intention of creating that scenario to promote Batman vs. Superman: The Game. Obviously they knew that. Who's going to beat Batman and Superman in popularity contests? Christ himself would lose in those polls.
I want to stab that notion right in the eye. For a couple of reasons. One being that I don't see the need to be subjected superfluous Batman vs. Superman nonsense when I'm already willing to buy the game that's based on that concept, the other being that they really could have easily just released a gameplay trailer of Batman fighting Superman as part of a "here's the essence of the game, Regime vs. Insurgency" promo or something that people could've voted on separately from the Battle Arena.
Then used those two now-vacant slots for other characters that hadn't been demoed to death prior to the Battle Arena, ones that wouldn't make voting feel like an exercise in futility. Like, I didn't bother voting in Superman/Sinestro for example, because... why? Sinestro had no chance and the idea of seeing EVEN MORE Superman was just puke worthy at that point. At the very least they could've avoided pitting just-announced characters in guaranteed unwinnable match-ups so people could see more of them than just a short video of them losing a scripted fight.
