Raven's dislike is more than aesthetic. I like how she plays for the most part but where's the rest of her crazy dark magic? You'd think NRS would have gone all out with her Soul Self and the likes.

Well, she uses telekinetic powers, so she looks a little bit like Ermac. The telekentic slam and push, as well as some normals using telekinesis to hit her opponent, is very reminiscent of Ermac and Kenshi.
For the record, I could have given or taken Raven. I'm indifferent towards her. Glad to see her fans are happy though, that's all that really matters. I'm just saying personally, she doesn't do it for me. The voice, the face(the rule of thirds shown above shows why it's messed up), and even the moves...just don't appeal to me. I guess I was expecting her to be more interesting. That's all. Not complaining, I really don't care. I don't expect every character to be exactly the way I would have done them. Just sharing my initial impressions.people want Raven they get Raven then they complain shes not the way they imagined

I believe she activated her character trait right before that and you're just noticing the change afterwards because of the camera angle and the fact that a dumpster was covering her.

So does Akuma ;_;, it's basic gameplay. I think you'll see similarities but to generalize the whole effort NRS put in to make their characters makes for a really stale opinion, I've seen comments like that on EH and I just SMH.

Chun-Li's thigh design was a great feature up until SFIV when they went from looking muscular and functional to just looking like poorly stuffed sausages. She's basically one of the only female characters in fighting games that looks like she actually spent time fighting rather than trying to achieve the cutest possible asskicking outfit.
