GAMEPLAY BREAKDOWN
RAVEN:
1. Looks like she has an anti-air telegrab move that has a hitbox in a good position above her head.
2. She has a grounded telegrab. It's really unclear if she has three versions of it like C.Viper or Shang Tsung or if it's like Ermac's forcepush. Either way, the usefulness of this move will depend on how good it is on block and on whiff.
3. She has a standard duckable projectile that will really well in combination with her telegrabs and her Demonic Trait specials but alone the high projectile has alot of recovery and doesn't seem too reliable at all.
Demonic Trait Raven:
1. She has an amazing teleport that could even be done in the air and seems to have a very low recovery time which is scary.
2. She has grounded demons coming from the ground that could whiff which confirms that they are like Shang's and C.Viper's ground zoning tools.
3. Her other specials seem to get better in her Demonic Trait.
Over all I'd say that without her trait active she isn't very threatening compared to some of the other characters we have seem tools from so far. But when she activates her trait she becomes a literal nightmare to deal with.
Her effectiveness is going to be determined on how often she could activate her Demonic Trait. I actually don't see alot of people using her when the game hits because even though she has some devestating tools, they're not as "derp I force you onto the defense now" as some like Batman's batarangs, Flash's slow down, and Doomsday's invulnarability. Either way she looks pretty solid. No doubt her teleport in her Demonic Trait is her strongest tool.
I'd guess that fans of Freddy, Shang Tsung, and JackX from SFxt will be fans of her.
THE MOST IMPRESSIVE THING IN THE WHOLE VIDEO THOUGH:
Catwoman @ 2:15 does a tiny hop over a low attack. If she is able to do this in the middle of the opponent's strings that have lows in them she could seriously handicap some character's offense by quickly jumping a low and going for a full punish. Add that onto her tons of mixups, midrange whip, and unblockable slash trait. Catwoman seems scarier everytime we see new things on her.
