Okay, you just used the voice as reasoning for this. That won't work because there will only be one voice per character. And the Bane from The Dark Knight rises is far too small to fit into the Bane in Injustice. That's why it would look horrible. Plus no Venom.
True with the voice, one of his best features not possible to include. However things like size aren't a big deal, you could take his current frame and put a new mask and this type of coat, possibly with the venom "button" underneath (since the jacket is unzipped anyway.)

Not gunna lie, I'm a bit of a fanboy for Dark Knight bane, the current model doesn't have the realism that I feel with the other renders; with the plastic tubing and wrestler's mask. Purely my opinion.

...The plastic tubing is what pumps the Venom into his veins and his luchadore mask is far more identifiable with Bane than that mouth mask thing that he had in Dark Knight Rises. I'm not even a fan of Bane or a really big comic fan, but I feel that the DKR Bane is not a great representation of the character. Better than Batman & Robin's, but that's not saying much.

Yeah, I can see how the wrestling mask is more signature. But then again this is the alt/extra costumes thread, and I didn't come here saying his main should be DKR lol. Just pointing out this look was big in the movie, and a lot of fans like me would play this alt costume.

People need to really get over this. Comic book luchador Bane is only more identifiable to comic book readers. Everyone else in the world thinks of the billion dollar movie's mascot.

The voice was interesting, Darth Goldfinger was an effective concept for a movie but not having it won't matter too much here. Nobody's talking that much. It's meaningless anyway because we're talking about a costume.

The Venom is in no way a rationale to not have this costume in. Check out the Earth V alt. The tubes can be moved around, therefore omitted entirely. Considering Venom has no aesthetic bearing on his playstyle other than he beats his chest where the button is and then the background flashes green during the start-up animation for his super. Not really a big fucking deal. The tubing is just there to make it look like something's going on, but there's actually no animation to them during venom gimmicks or anything. The only weird looking part is the green veins as he does his beast flex in his intro. Which for all I (and probably at least 99.999999999% of members here) know is an entirely editable thing as well. Even if it's not, who gives a shit? It makes zero difference because it isn't like anything turns green during gameplay.

The only aesthetic issue this problem would really have is the size of Bane in this one. But at least it's not like what they did to him in the Arkham games. And really, if you watch the Bane video from the Battle Arena, he actually isn't that much bigger than Batman. His musculature is just way overdeveloped. He's waaaaay wider than other character models, not a lot taller. Good thing for this 2D game. The only reason Bane was human-sized in DKR was because of "gritty realism", even though anyone who thinks any sort of realism played a part in Nolan's franchise might literally be a crazy person.

His size here? People underestimate just how menacing that mask really is. The simplistic elegance of the mask/chest plate/camo-pants/combat boots (or even mask/shirtlessness/pants/boots) set-up would both enhance and contrast the already hyper prominent muscles. I know people like the pimp coat, it was pretty baller in the movie. But in this game, trying to rationalize it over Bane's musculature would just make it look like shit. It would have to be huuuuuuge.

A DKR alt would be great. Nobody's talking about reducing hitboxes or calling in Tom Hardy to do a redub. It's just an outfit, and given the entirely meaningless and optional nature of the venom aesthetic on the Bane we have right now, and the ridiculously popular nature of DKR, it's a pretty safe request for people to make.

That was seriously some TL;DR over a hypothetical alternate costume. I'll point out that I could have made this same point with sooooo much less if I used some humor as a tool, but the last time I brought this up, people went totally apeshit over it and put all kinds of words in my mouth over it, because when talking about costumes in a superhero fighting game, "fucking literally as possible" is apparently the only way people are allowed to take anything. So I tried to be as superduperextraserial as we all fucking know this subject should be taken.

Classics, New 52 and First Appearances for everyone (Unless their first appearance pretty much is their classic look like Captain Marvel and Cyborg.)

1:24. It's actually not his body. It just looks like he beats his chest and the button farts out radioactive cocaine.

None of it really matters anyway, because we're not asking "DKR Bane for DLC" we're asking "DKR costume for Injustice Bane." Just an outfit. None of this is without precedent anyway. Look at Human Sektor and Cyblax. It's really the same basic idea. The only difference is with the MK robots, NRS fucked with actual gameplay to make that happen. The FUCK-YEAH-DKR-skin-for-Bane crowd is just asking for the tubes to be removed and replaced with 25% of a face.

I just think Bane is way overdone in this game. All of his costumes look more like Todd McFarlane designed them. DKR Bane fits the game's aesthetic much better. Seriously. Everyone in the game has really, really simple costumes that focus more on details and intricacies... Where as Bane's is cluttered as all hell. By the way, if anyone wants to talk about source material blahblah, check out this turd I pulled out of the wiki:

In prison, Bane also invented his own form of calisthenics, meditation, and a fighting style that he uses against other well-known martial arts fighters within the DC Universe. Bane creator Chuck Dixon's early tales portray Bane as a very calm, centered warrior akin to the immortal Bruce Lee; in as much that he draws strength through calm meditation, and the spiritual energy of the "very rock of Peña Dura". Dixon imbued Bane with an almost supernatural quality when he explained that Bane triumphed in all of his prison fights by employing these abilities, while his opponents had only rage and greed to propel them.

. . .

Although Bane had sworn off using Venom in Vengeance of Bane II in 1995, and his character is actually written as having kept that promise to himself, it is still not uncommon for artists to draw Bane as still wearing the tube leading from his old wrist device to the back of his head, as well as almost all media adaptations of the character show him actively using the Venom compound. Writer Gail Simone explained these lapses in the continuity of Bane's appearance in an issue of Secret Six, in which Deadshot remarked that Bane merely kept his old Venom equipment with him out of habit, even though he states that he would sooner die than use it again.
So if anyone wants to be super technical about this literal nonsense, just chock up any Venom FX still present while in the DKR skin to superduperawesomeultra-meditation powers.

Seriously, show me the asshole that wants the job of convincing people that this outfit would look bad on Injustice Bane's character model:

If anything, the human proportions to the muscles there are a detriment to the overall effect.

No no, look at 0:33. He turns green.

I also like crazy muscular Bane over TDKR Bane and am more than happy with how he looks. To each their own though. DKR Bane wouldn't be bad.

Huh, I honestly didn't even notice that. Whether or not it's permanently there depends on how they did the code, couldn't say.

But regardless of that, I stand firmly by the principle of "anyone give a shit?" People want it, it'll be easy, and it'll sell. Seems like good DLC.

Did the gun turn out to not be loaded or did he just chicken out?

Because there's pretty much no good reason Bane made it beyond the point-blank shotgun.

The one thing that I feel this game does need are alternate colors. If alternate colors are a bit too much, then at least give us a better distinction between two people playing the same character. From all the footage that I've seen with mirror matches, the color distinction between the characters was very, very small. This could just be because alternate colors weren't implemented into the game yet due to the builds being very old.

However, judging from how Mk9 turned out, this may also be the case with Injustice. I really don't want alternate colors to boil down to that "slightly lighter" or "slightly darker" crap that was prevalent in Mk9. I know some characters had legitimate alternate pallets like Raiden, Kano, and Johnny Cage. It just kind of ticked me off that not everyone else in the cast got the same treatment.

tl:dr, Give us legitimate colors for Injustice NRS.

I don't dig YJ Deathstroke's tremendous ponytail. Just doesn't seem like Mr. Wilson to me.

And I agree in regards to alternate colours. If you're only going to have 2 colours, they had best be distinct.
