Well, all this wonderful discussion just reminds me why I'm here talking about and supporting NRS and their games, rather than being on some Capcom forum.

I love trashing Capcom.

Didn't you have to rebuy Shuma and Jill in UMvC3? I don't think I've ever been able to play as them.

No, anyone that bought it got them with Ultimate, if you didn't buy them in vanilla then you had to buy them in Ultimate.

They tried to get everyone to buy their DLC gems which gives them better powerups. Which meant that the gem pack had to be bought for every xbox or PS3 that was ran at tournaments. I Think they were betting on the FGC to produce them more money.. It didn't go as plan though. That's messed up

Ha! I will say, Superman seems almost mute. He could at least say, I dunno, "This looks like a job for Superman" or something. Maybe that line is too corny nowadays.

Superman's the only character that comes to mind that said an intelligible sentence outside of cinematics. In the Sinestro fight video, he says "The operation is NOT optional!" post meter'd eye beams.

... Which is pretty grim if you consider the implications.

Oh, so that's what he says. Couldn't understand it. And what about Batman's "Get down here!"?

He actually says "Cooperation is NOT optiona. . " and then gets cut off cause of pointless edits.

I'm thinking the game will have a lot more trash talk than people think. definitely not mvc3 levels, matches won't just be grunting. if they were gonna do that, they would'nt have paid the real vas for in game stuff.

Grundy said a lot during his fight actually. Started some of his poem then in his first combo he said "Tiny man" and "drink swamp water"

There's probably a lot of lines that have yet to be implemented, they may be just picking which ones to use at this point.


Edit: Deadpool, in early builds of MvC3, said "I love me some guns" but this was taken out of the final product. These things tend to happen.

It all blends together after about a month, Deadpool is without a doubt the most vocally annoying character in FG history.

Here is my revised roster guess (if there are 28 total characters):

If there are 11 heroes and 8 villains, then that leaves 3 more heroes and 6 villains.

Heroes:
1) Raven - confirmed to be in the game; 99% sure she'll be playable
2) Martian Manhunter - I doubt they'd leave this guy out and the "NOMMHUNTER" and DLC poll were trolls
3) Firestorm - Killer Frost may be making an entrance

Villains:
1) Killer Frost - I actually wouldn't mind having her just as long as Mirror Master makes the roster
2) Mirror Master - appeared in prequel comic 7; hoping he doesn't get killed by Superman and ends up playable; He could have an amazing moveset (I would main him)
3) Black Adam - teased by Boon; probably not a skin
4) Black Manta - Not teased or mentioned at all, but Aquaman deserves a villain
5) Ares - described in depth in a magazine; why should he be unplayable? Wonder Woman needs a playable villain
6) Doomsday - Batman has 2 villains and Superman has one. Both Batman and Superman are notable DC characters, so they may both have 2 villains; he was shown in gameplay

Didn't they SELL an overpowered gem (auto-block I think), which was clearly way too good to be allowed (and they knew that exactly), and so they nerfed it into the ground later on?

So you basically gave them money for having easier fights for a while. Hmm.

The problem with MM is that you can use the same on powergirl with the NOPGirl thing and so on... but only the people of NRS really know who playable, but I would be suprice if Doomsday end up being more the a sub boss since he is a interaktiv stage environment you see in the superman vs Sinestro video, we see Sinestro push superman into Doomsday.

So you basically gave them money for having easier fights for a while. Hmm.

The broken gem was in the game for the start. Some of the pay gems are better than the free, ones but with the exception of a couple assist gems, they won't actually give you a real advantage in game.

Uh, yeah. Kind of my point there. If that were the REAL Doomsday, no way would he just be standing there. I think it's an android replica of Doomsday or something.

Futhermore, he is raging but just stands there, and gets dizzy by getting Superman thrown into him. Definitely not the real Doomsday. And he is so damn small. Doomsday is supposed to be freaking huge ! I think Grundy, Bane, even that gorilla is bigger than him.

I'm not sure about you, but things that are far away from me look smaller to me, than they would look like when I was standing in front of them.

I hope Doomsday is playable in the game. I still think that he would make an amazing characters, if he would leap, shoot bone-spikes, shatter the ground and send earthquakes and stuff like that.

I always thought it was the real Doomsday...that he was some kind of prisoner in a drugged stasis on his platform. He looks like if he stood up strait he's be a head taller than Superman or Joker.
