Well since we all know theres an Option to turn them off, has reilefed many
me personally think its a nice choice
but my main concern is that people will quickly dismiss it and see it as just a gimic and turn it off, instead off Fully exploring it
and im mainly talking about Competitive players.
Im really excited about these but i want to see the potential and Tech pro players find and use in Tournaments
but for it to be in a Tournys their need to be major Support, and read alot on this Site being a quickly dismissing it,
yeah i agree it looks flashy, but behind the cosmetics theres a really heavy skill game, and i go as far to say a make or breaker for a game win

and when people say its flashy what would you rather have,
Tactical skill based environment attacks that just look normal?
or would you prefer tactical skill based environment attacks, that look flashy?

think how it can be used
-different size stages, some can be extended like the Batcave
-Stage projectiles like barrels, rockets, work good for chars with no projectiles
-Cars and other stable objects, so you can get out of a corner, or if your a power you can remove that object by smashing it over there heads
-Stage Trans, able to do unbreakable damage and it can lead to a stage that favors your char more, and by watching gameplay vids its not only Connected by Corners, in Metropilis it can be connected by mid stage
-Combo Extenders
Etc

Since im talking about stage Transition i have an idea, what if they only show mini cutscene once a match as and when you do it again it just shows them going in one end coming out the other,
plus its 2 bars to do, so i dont think Pro Players be throwing out like wild, unless there in a bad place

my only worry and hope is, every stage set is balanced for each set, and have no Stage "SET", that favors one type of char

sorry for the long post just wanna get the message clear
so as for the question
will people, Especially tourney Players give a good chance before dismissing it ???
let me know cheers

I will. I can't see why not. If it's messed up, then it's messed up and we won't enable them in tournament. If they add something interesting or add almost nothing, then by all means keep them on.

It honestly looks pretty good. I will say this though, I feel more confident in stage hazards that juggle or extend a juggle than hazards that you can use a projectile, such as the Barrel/Rockets.

Chances are the first few month of tournaments this game has will leave them on. If it becomes too problematic, then TOs do have the option to turn them off from the get go, so it's not really a big deal.

I'll definitely play with them on though and see for myself. They do look really fun to use and explore, but we'll see down the line after many hours of thorough game play how everything plays out.

If disabling stage hazards disables stage transitions, then yeah, they will be disabled since there are tons of old school players who will undoubtedly bitch because wah wah, I can't use my wall bound combos in the corner. Otherwise, there's almost need to disable them, since you already have to press a button to activate them.

As THTB said, the current feeling is that until we see anything that breaks the game or makes the gameplay worse/broken, then the environmental hazards should be on. There are many other games that have environmental hazards that use them in tournament, so if they're not broken, no reason to eliminate them.

Cheers and thanks for the votes/comments peeps, so far it looks positive,i guess ive being reading negative thoughts on the wrong site, because so far it looks optimistic, which is really good, so thanks for voting and comment,

although i will say, its gonna take a patch or 2 to get a fine balance, but hopefully the vanilla one wil be solid

I'll definitely give them a try, but I'm not really liking the projectiles or the big red button in the Batcave. The projectiles seem like they will be quite annoying. Not only that, but I believe that 100% non-projectile characters should be just that. On to the big red button. I cant see a benefit to this. Anyone that backs themselves into a corner should pay the price. Seems like a get out of jail free card.

Get your guns on. Sheriff is back.
Im gonna ABUSE some stage hazards with Green Arrow. My space control shall induce enough salt to brine the stage.

Only if it is to extend a combo, i agree with IM2NINJA4U if your fight with or against a zoning character you know how bad they can chip you and that's without a full stage of hazards on there side to help. In conclusion if there is still going to be a toggle on/off hazards option ill stick to what i always have straight combos.

Gesture Required Ahead

Get on that hook
NRS made effort to make it removable for tournament settings. Why waste their effort by disabling something we bitched and complained for?

This is the same situation with Halo 4 and Join-In-Session

I do wonder if in time will it be turned off. Because of certain hazard placements I can see people fighting over p1 or p2 side just to have an advantage of getting closer to that hazard. It will open up different intentions when going into the fight though. Im interested in seeing how it will turn out

I have to agree, this is what makes injustice stand out and it would be dumb not to give it a try, im sure if we find something wrong we can adress it and NRS can fix it with a silent patch, i think this game is gonna be taken more serious with the patch work unlike mk, because this game is representing DC and they want it to be as perfect as possible.

What a day. What a lovely day.
Considering that I've played DOA for a long time it makes no difference to me. The stage hazards force you to have better awareness of your positioning, rather than just midscreen or corner.

Mumm-Ra for Injustice?
Imo if you have to turn the hazards off and can't play a game to its full potential then you can't be playing it at the highest possible level. On the other hand it don't matter with me cause my supes is gonna bop everybody :p
So Im guessing you r in favor of 8-2 Kabal with his invisible glitch huh?

Yep. DoA has them. 3D Mortal Kombat has them. Need I say more?

These are the prime reasons why I cannot stand "interactive environments" in a fighting game. This was my main reason for not even looking at this game. Generally, games with gimmicks like this aren't taken seriously or crapped on by the community. From the looks of things though, it looks like Injustice will be in a position to change that.

If it's true that you can only pushblock when stage hazards are off then I think people are gonna choose pushblock over hazards.
