As far as I know there's one this Sunday, although turnout may not be great what with the holidays. Personally I'm not going to be able to make it.

I can accommodate for 4+ setups and I also have streaming equipment to stream matches and also record matches. I'm thinking of making it a FT3 format i.e. MLG because it seems to be the more favorable way to run a tournament. The projected date as of right now is the 6th of January. Playing: Injustice, Persona, Blazblue, and MK
So i'm picking this game up again now after hearing the announcement that MK will be at EVO for the third time! ;) It's been nearly two years since I have played this game seriously and i'm pretty rusty (To make matters worse, i'm switching to fightstick for this game so i'm pretty much starting from scratch). I live in southwestern CT and I am looking into going to Casuals around the area. I will also be going to CEO this year and i'd like to prepare myself for that too. I'm only doing this all for fun and get better.

Where do you all get together? Who's house?

I think Raion aka Blackburry Chaos aka Eric is from that area. He's a really good DOA player who's been getting in to MK lately. He'll be at the next New Challengers tournament.

My friend Steve and I are from Mansfield, CT. We usually play casuals every week and attend the New England tourneys that pop up. Dramatica also plays MK - he's from Old Lyme if I remember correctly.

Man, I bet you guys could get MK at New Challengers if you busted down their door and made a mess of their pots and pans, so to speak. Bacardi, the guy who runs these, fucking loves Mortal Kombat and only stopped running it because there was no interest. Now that there's all these people in CT playing, you could probably fill an 8 man bracket. If you could get at least that many people and someone brought a setup, I'm sure he'd give you space to run an MK tournament.

This is great! Now i'm definitely going. See you all the 16th.

By the way, are we required to bring TVs/consoles? If so, i'll bring my 360. But if anyone has a PS3, that would be better(easier to change between pads and sticks). XD

I spoke to Justin of New Challengers tonight and he said he doesn't see why we couldn't bring our own setup for MK if we brought 8-10 people.

I think with the local turn outs we've been having we could do it, plus we owe the Steves and Dramatica a huge thank you for driving to us, time to return the favor :).

CRUM and deftones (Matt and Ron) if you guys would like to meet at my house and have me drive the 2 hours, I have no problem doing so, or just Matt since it would be a 3 hour drive for you.

I'll be at New Challengers for Street Fighter (and maybe Marvel) anyway. Would be cool if MK were added, and I wouldn't mind bringing a PS3 and the game.

Steve A and I are definites for this. We don't have much for tournament setups (unless it's played on 360), except a PS3 copy of Komplete Edition.

Just got the green light for MK at Gaming Etc. I'll bring the set up, brand new PS3 with Komplete Edition and obviously a monitor. I say I'll bring it because there's slow down on the fat PS3 for MK.

CRUM like I said, if you want to do the hour here, I have no problem with you two joining me for the other two.
