Sub-Zero - sadly tainted by Tom Brady wanting to have everything handed to him with this character, unprofessionally not bothering to inform NRS of his unblockable, unescapable reset, and turning Test Your Might into a clusterfuck of Lin Kuei wannabes thinking they were actually gonna be able to grind the next 2 years of the MK9 lifecycle by crouchblocking behind ice clones and chucking out ice balls for the sake of chucking out ice balls, rinsing and repeating all match, every match, based on what they saw at Power Up 2011, not realizing that such an atrocious footsie footprint was bound to be downloaded and blown up by a Reptile player who doesn't even practice nor own the game. And now are trying to save face by claiming the character has received multiple nerfs, when such changes were applied to everyone.

With all that said, I cannot bring myself to align with such a discipline lacking character design. The Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei may yet return to my frontline shall vanilla MK3 return to the fray someday, and literally be scarred by the TRUE face of death, but that remains to be seen..

I dislike any character that is easy to win with and requires no learning curve.

No such character exists at a high level.

Anyway to answer the question Sheeva (reminds me way too much of a female body builder... blegh), Sindel (I love her story but I hate her character design), Kano (he's a douche), Jax (Most boring character in the story imo), Kratos (what's the point?), and Rain (idk why, I just don't like him.)

Next to no individual Fatalities in MKA, there was no bigger disappointment for me in all of MK time and space than finding out the last DLC spot was going to the real Freddy Krueger's retarded, two-gloved descendant. Especially with all the other characters that popped up throughout the stages that could've easily taken that spot. Frost, Sareena, fucking Tanya, BO RAI CHO. ( Tom Brady would agree with this statement, I'd imagine.)
I get why. Freddy is a draw to outside players, the license, $$$, bladdy blah blah, but still.
It was a dumb idea, IMO.

Frost... RIP my hopes and dreams for the 4th dlc slot... we hardly knew you as you stood in the background of the pit fighting to raise our hopes of an actual MK character being the last MK dlc...

The only two things that pisses me off about the inclusion of Freddy is that Robert Englund didn't come out of retirement to voice him and that we didn't get Jason to go with him. This whole "Not a part of MK" crap is exactly that. NRS should have kept going down the fanservice road more than they did with more alt costumes for everyone and more characters. Even a second pack of 3 MK kombatants and Jason would have been epic.

Kano. He's just mean and ugly and probably smells bad.

That's because he uses the entire AXE product line for his manscaping.

For me, it's probably all the robo-homos.

Kung Lao- I can play him somewhat (and I need to for the MU with Shang) but he is opposed to how I like to play, which is slower paced and generally defensive. Way too crazy for me

Skarlet- really weird character that doesn't appeal to me.

Jade- lame character that relies on gimmicks.

Ermac- same as above but times three.

Rain- a boring character.

I see I'm not the only one who thinks freddy seems completely out of place in this game, I doubt I'll bother downloading him either. I think they should have went with the UMK3 look for Kano, it looked kind of like you were kicking ass with Jean-Luc Picard, or maybe Locutus of Borg.

Raiden: Some of the fastest specials in the game while having the slowest normals. Just no.
Reptile: Entire gameplan is to knock people down, put a forceball on the screen, dash in, chip/build meter, repeat.
Mileena: All-around Annoying bitch.
Sonya: Doesn't take "good footsies" to land a d4 that has the range to outzone Kenshi from full screen. EX kartwheel is the dumbest move in the game.
Sub-Zero: I like fighting against him, but hiding behind that clone is just so boring. Getting horribly outzoned is also not much fun.

Well, I've played everyone a little bit to the point where I can at least do a basic bnb.

But characters I would never main would be:

Sheeva (She's huge, slow, and ugly)
Kabal (He's retardedly broken and those pig tails...)
Freddy (He's not a MK character)
Kano (I've never liked his character, doesn't help that he blows in this game)
Sindel (While I actually like her character, her combo style and such doesn't appeal to me)
CSZ (He is an abomination and Sub Zero wannabe that doesn't deserve to use Sub Zero in his name, Shouldn't even be in the game)
Mileena (Hate that whore)

Everyone else... I wouldn't mind using as a main if I didn't love Sub Zero so much.

Character preference is like a taste in music. I am not butthurt about any character in the game, I'd rather not play the characters I mentioned because I find them boring. I was exaggerating my post to express my dislike for the characters I mentioned. I'd rather not start arguing about a preference like people on Youtube do. I am sure you know what they say about arguing on the internet.

My hypothesis is that NRS wanted to show Warner Bros. some appreciation for pulling Midway out of the shithole, reforming them into Nether Realm Studios, and supporting them in their Mortal Kombat endeavors. Thus NRS developed Freddy as an MK character.
