I tuned into Sunday night football for like 5 minutes tonight (I barely even watch football) and I saw Obama's speech where he was blaming the guns, and it made me want to puke.

Who hired this guy, WTF?
Horrible people, horrible catastrophes.

More people there are, that small ratio of fucked up people goes from 10 to 1000 to 100 to 10,000. Its the same ratio of crazy people, theres just more of them now in a smaller space.

"Heaven Will Fall!"
When i posted that noone had said it was a fake yet and anyway thats not why i posted it. I posted it because regardless if he said it or not it is the truth about our country. I seen 3 shows on tonight and they were all about the killer and the games he played and his mental health not one word about the victims in either show other than "our heart goes out to their families". The media does more damage to this country than ppl think just most of us only care about whats in our little "bubble" we call our life.

Did the handgun load itself? Did it walk into the school and pull its own trigger? Nope a lunatic did.

Also does Japan,Britain,Switzerland,Canada,Israel,Germany have ruthless gangs and thugs which account for over 90% of these murders?

Also why do the people who create this sort of propaganda not include other countries, like mexico. They have as strict a gun control policy as you can possibly wish for, so the only ones with guns are cartel. That makes sense to me too.

What about Switzerland? They issue citizens military weapons, weapons capable of far more than handguns or semi auto rifles like many own in usa. in 2010 they had 53 murders, and not even half were firearm related.

The lack of logic people have about banning firearms is wishful to say the least. Fact is its not the guns, its our Country as a whole.

over 17k people are killed per year from drunk drivers.. Compared to the 10 from gun murders, we have problems as a country that will not go away from banning weapons. Keep looking for the easy out though.
Well....as for japan....theres the yakuza.....

I copied that post from a thread I saw on DeviantArt, as the 1st line of my post states.
My bad for not calling up Morgan to see if it was really him. Ill do better next time.
Let me guess, that quote was copypasta'd from a comment thread of a badly-drawn furry hentai pic. Hmm yea, sounds credible, bro. Do you also cite 4chan and reddit in your school papers?

Grumptronix sad? Nothing's more sad than believing everything you read.

and to hell with all this gun regulation BS, im tired of hearing about it. Everytime theres a tragedy, people always come up with ways to restrict something or make laws against something. Most of the time, neither of these things should be done at all.

Think of it this way. You have a kind mother, who loves her children very much. But every time she see's these terrible acts of violence, she hugs them in her arms tighter and tighter, wanting to protect them more and more each time. Until one day, without even realizing it, she ends up hugging them so hard she strangles them to death....

It's really hard to make a death analogy work when we're talking about the actual death of 27 people...

the death in my little story doesnt quite actually stand for literal DEATH. The idea is that if the government kept making more and more laws to try and protect people from the random crazies who slip thru the cracks. They'd eventually end up "strangling" the very people they're trying to protect under the weight of the numerous laws and restrictions.

I can't read this thread anymore without asking a question: To all of the pro gun people, you are saying that we don't have a gun problem, it's the people that are the problem. So, just because there are crazy people that use guns to massacre many people in a short amount of time, they would just do the same without the guns. We can't give up our gun rights because we need to protect ourselves and our families--also we can shoot the potential killer before he harms innocent if we are present. I'm paraphrasing here, but I believe that is the general point.

With that being said, they should only sell a single model of gun--a small handgun, and you should only be allowed to purchase one clip of ammunition. The only time you can purchase more ammunition is when you submit a police report(s) stating the number of shots fired to take down baddies equals the number of bullets in the clip. Until then, since they are only needed for protection, you should not require more ammunition. This seems like a completely reasonable compromise. So to the pro gun people: do you agree? If not, why?

Sérieusement Sabrewulf peut aller en enfer.
Thoughts:

1) This is a horrible horrible tragedy. I don't know why someone would be motivated to go out and do such a terrible thing.

2) RIP to all the victims and my condolences to the victims' families.

3) In terms of gun control, all I have to say is this: in general, the easier it is to do something, the higher the chance that people are going to do it. For instance, in engineering classes there are numerous people who cheat. People go on their cell phones during the test and text each other. People who sit next to each other use communicate in Morse code. People bring in midterms from previous semesters and stuff them in their jacket. People have even taped index cards on the bottom on their shoes and sit cross-legged so they can read the notes on the other person's shoe. However, I took a class this semester where the teacher videoed the class during a midterm, marked where everyone sat, and made a list of the order in which people turned in the test. Did anyone cheat? No.

Evil people will always exist. There's nothing that can be changed there. But, it's way too easy in this country for this group to go out & murder innocent people. Something needs to be done to make it indefinitely harder to do something like this.

4) To all the people blaming video games for this shit, how do you explain this?

Hitler killed 10+ million people and never played a single violent game in his life.

Hahaha, again, whether it's from Morgan's mind or not is COMPLETELY irrelevant.

I'm a huge advocate of informing yourself on more then one source. You're just a fucking sad case because you try to sit on your high horse and make it seem like you're the only one that does. But your "try hard"/"sitting on your high horse" attitude doesn't just stem from this one thread. You're just genuinely sad across the forum. It's pathetic really.

This thread is just a small example of this. Anyways, I’ve exhausted the little interest I had in you. Byyyyyeeeee

Come On Die Young
nwo lol I saw that on ATS it's pretty funny. You can probably find some sort of reference to anything in movies if you look hard enough. The Sandy Hook in the map is probably of Sandy Hook NJ since Gotham is really NYC.

I think I posted this earlier in the thread but yeah. Let's be serious here. People are right when they say guns make things much, much easier. The day before this shooting, some crazy guy with a knife injured 22 primary school kids in China. Zero people died. We have a mental health problem in this country, and we should try to stop these things at the source, but we need to stop being so selfish and paranoid with our gun views so we can actually prevent these shootings. Imagine if your son, daughter, best friend, etc was killed in this shooting. Would you really say that this couldn't have been prevented with tighter gun laws?

I get the argument that if a criminal wants to commit a crime, he's not going to follow the laws to get a gun. But let's be serious here. This was a scrawny 20 year old white kid in the suburbs. Do you really think there's some black market walmart he can walk in to get his guns? The same can be said for almost every mass shooting i can think of in the United States over the past 20 years. These aren't guys who could've realistically found a way to purchase a gun otherwise.

That being said, I'm not in favor of banning guns. I know people with a legitimate need for protection. I also know how difficult banning would be when you have so many guns already out there. I just wish groups like the NRA would actually let us have a serious discussion about gun violence in this country rather than pointing to the 2nd amendment and telling us to stfu.
