What's new

Before MK9 can evolve any further, It's time to admit the truth..

Never said Mk10 was "around the corner". I'm just saying at the end of the day its still just a video game I read alot of theses threads and I see people going all die hard on mu nums and etc.. it's just pathetic to me.. And MK9 might have life left to the pros that play it but among must casual players like I said once Injustice comes out MK9 will be dead to "SOME NOT ALL of the casual community... Go online now you'll see not as many people play it anymore and after 2013 I can guarantee that number will drop even harder with some of the great ass games that are coming out..But If you still have faith that's great :)

Yeah....who cares about the casual community when it comes to tourney play as alot of them aren't coming out to tournaments anyway? Sure, online numbers are low but tourney numbers are still going strong especially considering NEC had LESS numbers last year than this year for MK9.

I acknowledge this completely, and so should everyone, i've seen the kabal- sheeva matchup, if thats the definition of a 7-3, then i matchups like cage-scorpion are 5-5. Everyone just needs to suck it up and realize that these utterly terrible matchups do exist, if there are any kano mains out there then im sure they agree

I say who cares with Injustice right around the corner and next Gen gaming consoles (rumored anyway) to be released next year I think Mk9 has ran it's course there's no point in arguing about this. That's just my opinion anyway.
I for one, will continue to play MK even after injustice drops, If injustice is awesome, I will not be playing MK as much, but will not drop it. And even after next gen drops, until there is a MK title for the new consoles, My old consoles will still get play due to MK

yes, there are times where the mu is so bad that you have to really take some risk, and when it doesnt pan out, ohh.. you played the mu wrong. No, you got out played in a really bad MU. and yes.. even when you lose a really bad mu, it still counts as being outplayed. losing a bad/good mu doesnt mean anyone played anything wrong, it means someone got outplayed.
this 100x, thank you. I fuckin hate it when I'm told "im not suppose to do that in this match up" or "your not playing this match up right"

Kenshi being the example, I can beat some kenshis with Kitana, but I haven't been able to beat Pigs kenshi yet, because he out plays me in a bad match up. it's no excuse, but when I do crazy wierd shit in the match because I feel I need to take the risk or try different stuff, I hate hearing "you aren't playing this right", well if playing it right means standing there and getting fucked up by kenshi because thats what the Match up number says, well then fuck playing it right, lol (pig has never said I don't play it right, he just beats my ass down, its other people that say things like Kitanas don't play it right, it's not that bad, all that shit)

Nice Thread Brady.

Just level up, bro. It's not that bad. You get 50% for jumping a Spirit Charge. 6-4 at worst.

yeah there are 8-2s and 9-1 that means you have to completely outplay the opposition if you want to win. People have too much character pride. 6-4 isnt that bad. even 7-3 isn't that bad. It's all a guide to the mu like brady said. doesn't mean the mu is unwinnable. Just be professional about it

This is also true. By limiting ourselves to 7 3 when defining matchups, we have also skewed what 7 3 really is, making actual 7 3s sound harder than they are.

I never said that it wasn't. I'm going basically quote myself. "I know that Kenshi destroys cage 3-7 or 2-8. I'm not denying that. I just gotta work on the matchup."
No when I first said wow having difficulty in that 8 2 matchup in your favor, you replied it is 7 3, not that bad, to cover up the fact that you got outplayed. Only later did you admit that it is probably 8 2 lol.

yeah we shouldn't limit ourselves to 7-3. When we do these mu charts we must not get personal about it. like player x beat player y in a 2-8 mu it probably isn't that bad. brady prolly has said stuff like that numerous times. just got to be professional about it:cool:

There are a lot of 8-2s in this game but I think only Kabal/Kenshi have them in their favor. 9-1 is debatable. Probably only a few MUs that are that bad.

Is there really that big of difference between 7-3 and 8-2? They're both really difficult. I see a big difference between 5-5, 6-4, and 7-3, but not 8-2 and 9-1

This is why I don't care to use someone else vs Sonya with Reptile.
yeah like most subs say sub vs smoke is 7-3 even tho I think its a 6-4 smoke. its a losing mu but I still would accept 7-3. I know I can win that mu with sub regardless of the number with smoke. I've just recently learn how to beat kabal with sub it's not too bad as I thought. even freddy vs sub is a hard match but very winnable for sub. We just got to be professional about it.

Did Blackula just body you kenshi/sub? lol
1. You sir are FORMER mu police lol, you have no jurisdiction here.

2. No.. I havent even played that match this weekend yet. why does someone have talk about numbers "because they got bodied".. this thread has 0.0% to do with sub-zero or kenshi in specifics, just trying to end the "dude.. no mu in the game is all that bad" BS..

I do agree there there are VERY FEW 1-9s

8:2 match ups have existed in this game since day one and still exist to this day. Kabal and Kenshi are responsible for the vast majority of them.
